Durham Tees Valley Airport (formally known as Teesside Airport) is situated about 30 miles south of the City of Durham, it mainly serves small airlines and only has a small amount of commercial traffic. The airport was originally known as RAF Middleton St George but in the late 60s the airport was converted into a civil airport.
From there on the airport was officially renamed “Teesside International Airport” and up until 2004 it kept the title and was known locally as Teesside Airport. In 2004 the airport was redeveloped, renamed and re-marketed as Durham Tees Valley Airport (the locals still call it Teesside Airport)
The airport is deceptively large, the unused areas make the airfield look bigger than it is, the used areas are only north side, the fire training area is the only south side are that accessible and used

An airport "missing" in the UK2000 XTreme range. And this one is a good addition.
