Sonic Solutions is pleased to present the next generation sound pack for your Twin Otter using the Prepar3d and FSX SP2/Acceleration simulation engines. Completely remixed, remastered and re-implemented...version 2 offers new audio added for the interior and exterior.

Unfortunately most multi engine aircraft in FSX/P3D suffer from audio phasing including the Twin Otter X and Twin Otter Extended. This is a result of using the same sounds and parameters for both engines. The result is a “washy” sound with loss of low frequencies. Like all Sonic Solutions sound packs, this is avoided by sound designing each engine differently and implemented using slightly different parameters. The result is clean, crisp, punchy audio with plenty of dynamic range.

Features Include: 16bit/48k sound quality...HD isn't a buzz word here...it's just standard, Extensive use of multiple layers and 3D sound cones, Interior and exterior start, shut down, all rpm ranges, prop, flaps, randomizing crashes, water crashes and wheel touches, prop buzz, exits open and close, over speed, stall, AI sounds for multiplayer, Superb and professional mixing and implementation means very smooth transitions between start up, all rpm ranges through to shut down. Includes improved water audio for float and amphibian versions. Compatible for all Twin Otter models in FSX & P3D. Includes installation guide.

would give higher but dont have installed yet, sent a email to owner asking to verify my understanding of install directions, been 5 days now still no reply, so hope you dont run into issues as the owner writes in his description need help just shoot me a email will get you sorted out, yeah right

bin P3Dv3 user, aerosoft hatte die tage ein update für die twin otter x für P3Dv3 released. somit habe ich mich mit dem etwas verstaubten add on wieder befasst, da ich auch sehr gerne ultrakurzstrecken fliege. z.b. gerade einige platzrunden in hong kong kai tak VHHX von fly tampa. der mitgelieferte sound von TSS ist auch ganz ok, als absoluter sound feti bin ich aber immer auf der suche nach "besseren" alternativen. also fand ich dieses sound pack von sonic solutions. die takeoff full power sounds sind absolut spitze und auch realistisch und besser als die default TSS sounds, leider gibt es keine hörbare änderung bei der condition lever verstellung, der sound bleibt einfach gleich und es gibt bei niedriger power lever drehzahl ein ständiges klapperndes vibrationsgeräusch. muss allerdings sagen, ich kenne den original sound nur aus videos, bin nie mit der twin otter geflogen. bin der meinung habe die files richtig installiert. gut das ich ein original backup der TSS sound habe, wurden gleich wieder reinstalliert. aber diese beiden punkte kosten leider auch 2 sterne, daher nur 3 sterne. evt. werde ich den default und dieses soundpack später mal miteinander kombinieren.

New sounds, and that's what you get. Nicely done with details. tired of the original Twin Otter sounds? this is for you. I would rate it 4 starts. It gets one extra, because support is fast and easy to follow. Do mind, this is not hard to install, i just had a question for making sure i did it right. So 5 stars from here :-)
