    • Description

    The Mainbullau airfield ( ICAO : EDFU ) is a commercial airfield located near Mainbullau , a district of Miltenberg in Lower Franconia, Germany.

    The former glider airfield served as an emergency landing site before the war. The first flights were undertaken in 1957. In 1960, an asphalt runway, aircraft hangars and a tower were built. The airfield was equipped with a gas station. It is the base of the Bavarian Air Rescue Squadron .

    The airfield is approved for gliders, helicopters, motor gliders, ultralight aircraft, parachutists and motor aircraft up to 2,000 kilograms. Mainbullau airfield is often used as a starting point for sightseeing flights to the Spessart or over the Odenwald.

    In der Realität eines der markantesten Merkmale von EDFU Mainbullau ist die nach Nordosten abfallende Start- und Landebahn. Auch in der MSFS Standardszenerie ist das Höhenmodell des Flugplatzes korrekt dargestellt. Wenn man das aber im Jahr 2024 als Szenerieentwickler eines hochpreisigen Addons nicht hinbekommt und alles einebnet, sollte man diese Szenerie doch bitte schön für andere offen lassen die es können. Ansonsten sind solche Szenerien für Käufer und auch potentielle Käufer nur ein einziges Ärgernis. (Stand Version 1.0)
