The CFM56-7B is the exclusive engine for the Boeing Next-Generation Single-aisle airliner: 737-600/-700/-800/-900. Thrust ranges from 18,500 to 27,300 lbs.

Over 4,000 CFM56-7B engines are in service as part of the most popular engine/aircraft team in commercial aviation. The -7, with it's swept fan and advanced compressor is among the most modern, efficient and reliable turbofans ever. More than 500 airlines fly CFM56-7B-powered 737s and, since entering service in the mid-90s, they have accumlated over 50 Million flight hours. All CFM56-7B engines delivered beginning in mid 2007 will be compliant with future CAEP/6 environmental requirements.

I don't bother to write reviews to much, because there are to many products to comment on, but if you've read my other reviews, these packages are well worth it, and works great with Ariane or PMDG 737 products...

Although the overall engine sounds are good, I was disappointed that this sound pack didn't offer more in terms of other sounds that add to immersion. For example, Synchsoft's c172 sound file is superb as the ground roll effects are amazing - you can here rattles, creeks, etc, great fun! Whilst I would not expect a CFM56-7B to sound like a c172 lump, I would like to have heard better effects on the ground roll - appropriate rattles, etc.

Wow! What a transformation! Applied this to my PMDG 737-800 and am amazed at the increased realism. Superb add on. If you like your 737's then this is a must have. 11 out of 10.

I've just written review about sondset for RB211-535 but the same I have to write about soundset for CFM56-7B. Oustanding work, masterpiece !!!! Not "Good" , EXCELLENT - it is a proper note !
