Cairns Airport (IATA: CNS, ICAO: YBCS) is an international airport in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. Formerly operated by the Cairns Port Authority, the airport was sold by the Queensland Government in December 2008 to a private consortium. It is the seventh busiest airport in Australia. The airport is located 2.3 nautical miles (4.3 km; 2.6 mi) north northwest of Cairns or 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) north of the Cairns central business district, in the suburb of Aeroglen. The airport lies between Mount Whitfield to the west and Trinity Bay to the east

Ground textures are not fully showing at terminal, Sat image is protruding through them in parts making it look terrible. Nautilus 505 Helicopters have no Textures on the LODs so unless up very close they are white. GA side of Airport Lacking. No night lighting in Tower. International Terminal just underwent redevelopment with Glass jetways, not shown here.

Terminal's good. However the bays do not correctly reflect what aircraft they can accommodate IRL. I'm guessing it has to do with the jetway mechanics in MSFS not playing nice with the type of jetway used IRL, but the international bays should have no trouble accommodating a 787. Instead it looks severely unnatural when the bridge goes on a sharp incline at the end to reach the exit of the plane.

Absolutely, no attention given to the GA half of the airport. Wasted time/resources spent on terminal interiors that aren't even visible from airside.

Good effort for a Dev coming over from XP . Had a problem with AI not showing up, contacted the Dev and he had it sorted in a matter of hours.

The terminals are okay, definitely passable, but the GA side of the airport has received no attention whatsoever it’s just generic plain buildings and hangers like a default airport. Performance was also pretty terrible, especially for such a small airport. Noticeably worse than major hubs like FlyTampa Sydney and Orbx Melbourne.

Good Airport design, high fps, amazing. They make Cairns like they had already at airport, I am working at Cairns and that is what I see

Excited to see my home airport finally in MSFS, disappointed by this in the sim. Seems to be orientated to commercial domestic and international with these areas modelled well but GA completely forgotten. GA starting bays almost non existent. Lots of generic textures used, some building missing, incorrect or still remaining after being removed IRL. Apron texture are default quality in places, runway lighting is incorrect (approach lights & PAPI). Performance is good & price accordingly hence two stars. I know I shouldn't expect ORBX quality for the price, but it is 2023, they did a better product in 2006.
