Munich Airport (IATA: MUC, ICAO: EDDM), German: Flughafen München, is the international airport of Munich, the capital of Bavaria. It is the second busiest airport in Germany in terms of passenger traffic behind Frankfurt Airport, and the seventh busiest airport in Europe, handling 39.7 million passengers in 2014, an increase of close to 3% from 2013. It is the world's 14th busiest airport in terms of international passenger traffic, and was the 30th busiest airport worldwide in 2013. As of March 2015, the airport features flights to 228 destinations in 66 countries. Munich Airport serves as the secondary hub for Lufthansa including Lufthansa Regional and its Star Alliance partners besides Frankfurt. The biggest foreign carrier in Munich in terms of passenger numbers is Air Dolomiti.
The airport is located 28.5 km (17.7 mi) northeast of Munich near the old city of Freising and is named in memory of the former Bavarian Prime Minister Franz Josef Strauss. It features two passenger terminals and two runways as well as extensive cargo and maintenance facilities and is fully equipped to handle wide-body aircraft including the Airbus A380.

Great work Taxi2gate. Well worth every cent.
First the pros of the scenery. I fly to/from Munich a lot and my Aerosoft MA Munich got very old. The T2G version of EDDM looks definitely better. Visuals, especially modeling and texturing of the terminal buildings, are top notch, as it usually is with this developer. Apron animations, 3D grass, parked cars/buses/stairs and generally lots of details make this scenery really pretty. Also taking into account the size and complexity of the airport, it performs really well. I could get much higher FPS than e.g. at DD EPWA, which is considerably smaller. Plus, I guess, most of the initial bugs have been fixed quite quickly, which is another good point.
Now the cons. I have a feeling Taxi2Gate does not use any beta testers, as 90% of the initial and remaining bugs are obvious and conspicuous. Now, in the new version, there are still some wrong taxiway/rwy signs, some flickering textures, as well as some contrasting low/high res textures (like the roads coming under the bridges). Also the jetways could do with some better alignment on the aircraft's doors (like FT has) though, on the other hand, it is good they are offered at all (many developers don't model them).
All in all, I find it to be a great-looking, modern and well-performing scenery addon. Hoping to see the remaining bugs fixed and looking forward to Paris CDG!
* Looks great, top notch.
* Runs like a charm, VERY high fps.
* No stutters, no stability issues
Landing at dusk with the A320 and then taxi to the terminal 1 gates is an utter joy with the static airport clutter, the lighting, the amount of 3d effects on the terminal buildings. FPS is really good (25+ stutter free) also on higher settings in my P3DV3.1 with Aerosoft A320, with half full AI traffic (i7@4,3, GTX660).
Unfair to complain, but with the nice 3d effects when parking at the gates, where I am eye to eye with the lounge area and the stores inside the terminal, I am wishing more than ever that there were people inside. Lots of people, eager to board while I am preparing for the return flight. It is strange to see perfectly into the terminal from the cockpit, but only watch empty spaces.
Also, I would like to see even more dynamic airport traffic, it is a bit sparse considering that there appears to be room for more performance wise. Sad that AES lite is not supported for P3D, I have always liked that very much with the extra immersion that it provides on approach and taxi. That is the only advantage that the previous FSX Aerosoft version has over this little gem.
As always, night textures on the office buildings, parking lots and hangars are unrealistically bright, even when adjusting with the P3D lighting features. But that goes for all and any airport I have used so far.
Apart from these minor issues, if you like flying airliners to a major european hub, this one is highly recommended!
Okay, the grass might be somewhat lower quality than what we'd expect from T2G, however, I am not phased by this whatsoever because their overall representation of Munich is simply top notch.
With that in mind, have a look at the "other" developer's (quite a bit older) rendition of the grass at Munich and compare the rest of the airport, then ask yourself which version of EDDM you'd rather have for nearly identical cost?
Don't get me wrong - I still love Aerosoft's work and happen to use a very large percentage of their FSX airports. Also, their support is right on par with T2G - simply excellent!
Still, I love Taxi2Gate's work so don't be deterred by this. They are an excellent developer and a patch is sure to follow soon!
If you're only looking for great textures this one is certainly for you.
As always T2G have done a great job on the textures of the buildings, aprons, etc.
That's about where it ends though.
Already the grass and concrete right next to the apron is of really low quality and looks nothing like the real Munich.
The accuracy of the scenery is also far below what one would expect for almost 30€ these days.
FlightBeam, FSDT and the like do a lot better job on these!
If you know the real airport or have previously used the Mega Airport Munich you will be rather disappointed by the details in this scenery.
T2G spared details at any point they could (to improve performans/VAS?) and here they certainly spared to many!
This scenery got a really good potential, but they'll need to improve a lot on the details with their next SPs, otherwise this is unfortunatly nothing more than eyecandy.
Knowing the real Munich quite well I am quite disappointed with this addon, certainly for this price.
