Gstaad–Saanen Airfield is located in the heart of Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland, surrounded by the picturesque Alps. Originally built as a military airfield during World War II, it soon became home to glider operations as early as 1946. The airfield transitioned to civilian use in 1965, and today it remains highly popular among glider pilots. Additionally, it plays a key role for private jet traffic, especially during the annual Gstaad Open tennis tournament.
This addon has been created based on extensive research and hundreds of reference photographs of buildings and the surrounding landscape. A large collection of handcrafted 3D objects and structures, enhanced with detailed PBR textures, ensures an immersive and authentic experience.
