Turbine Sound Studios proudly presents the MD-11 GE-CF6-80C Pilot Edition soundpackage for FS2004 recorded in HD High definition.
This Pilot Edition is as heard from the cockpit.

This product has been developed for PMDG`s and Overland models for FS2004 ( Other models will also work with this soundpackage )

This soundpackage includes the following :

External engine sounds.
Internal engine sounds.
Wind sounds.
Cockpit environment sounds.
Geardown sounds.
Gearup sounds.
Callout and Warning sounds which includes :
Gear up warning.
Overspeed.
Stall.
Autopilot disengage.
Custom Splash and Crash.

All recorded in HD and compiled to meet Microsoft Flightsimulator specifications.

The General Electric CF6 is a family of high-bypass turbofan engines produced by GE Aviation. Based on the TF39, the first high-power high-bypass jet engine, the CF6 powers a wide variety of civilian airliners. The basic engine core also powers the LM2500, LM5000, and LM6000 marine and power generation turboshafts.

CF6-80C2

For the CF6-80C2-A1, the fan diameter is increased to 93 in (2.36 m), with an airflow of 1750 lb/s (790 kg/s). Overall pressure ratio is 30.4, with a bypass ratio of 5.15. Static thrust is 59,000 lb (263 kN). An extra stage is added to the HP compressor, and a 5th to the LP turbine.

The CF6-80C2 is currently certified on eleven widebody aircraft models including the Boeing 747-400, and McDonnell Douglas MD-11. The CF6-80C2 is also certified for ETOPS-180 for the Airbus A300, Airbus A310, Boeing 767, and, as the F138-GE-100, the U.S. Air Force's C-5M Super Galaxy.

Da ich nach längerer Zeit die gute alte PMDG MD11 wieder für mich entdeckt habe und das Gefühl hatte, dass das Standard Soundset zwar ok, aber nicht meinen Wünschen entsprochen hat, habe ich mich zum Kauf dieses Soundsets entschieden. Nach dem Kauf erhält man eine einfache EXE Datei, welche man nach eigenen Wünschen, an jeden möglichen Ort installieren kann. Danach verschiebt man den entsprechenden Sound Ordner in den Aircraft Ordner der MD11.+ und schon kann es losgehen. Da ich das Glück hatte, an 15 Frachtflügen der MD11 mit GE CF6 Triebwerken teilnehmen zu können, würde ich durchaus behaupten beurteilen zu können, dass dieses Soundset der originalen MD11 sehr stark entspricht und die Qualität der PMDG MD11 nochmal deutlich aufwerten kann. Insgesamt eine klare Kaufempfehlung von mir!
