Protecting Your Purchase

The flight simulation add-ons you are purchasing are legally protected and copyrighted on an international level. This ensures that the creators' rights are upheld and their innovative work is safeguarded.

Why Piracy Hurts Everyone

Piracy undermines the dedication and creativity of developers. When you download or distribute pirated add-ons, it impacts the creators' ability to continue producing high-quality content. This affects the entire community by reducing the availability of new features and updates.

Consequences of Piracy

  • Legal Risks: Engaging in piracy can lead to severe legal consequences, including fines and prosecution.
  • Security Threats: Pirated software often carries malware, risking your personal data and system security.
  • Lack of Support: Unauthorized copies do not receive official support or updates, leading to potential issues and vulnerabilities.

How You Can Help

  1. Purchase Legitimately: Always buy add-ons from authorized sellers like SimMarket to ensure you receive authentic products.
  2. Report Piracy: If you encounter pirated add-ons, report them to the authorities or the original creators.
  3. Educate Others: Spread awareness about the negative impacts of piracy and encourage others to support developers by purchasing legitimate copies.

Thank you for supporting the flight simulation community and contributing to a fair and innovative marketplace.

Airport History
Dundee Airport (EGPN/DND) is situated on the northern shore of the Firth of Tay, just a few minutes from Dundee city centre. Unlike many British airports, it was not developed from a wartime military airfield. Instead, the airport officially opened in 1963 on land reclaimed from the River Tay, originally featuring a short grass runway known as Riverside Park. Scheduled airline services began in 1966, linking Dundee with Glasgow, Edinburgh and Prestwick, although these early routes proved short-lived.

Following a brief closure in the late 1960s, the airport reopened in the early 1970s with a new asphalt runway and gradually expanded its facilities. The runway was extended several times, customs facilities were introduced in the 1980s, and the present passenger terminal opened in 1997. An Instrument Landing System (ILS) was later installed, significantly improving the airport's ability to operate in Scotland's often challenging weather conditions.

Throughout its history, Dundee has supported a variety of scheduled services to destinations including London City, Birmingham, Belfast, Aberdeen, Manchester and Jersey. Although airline operators have changed over the years, the airport has remained an important transport link for the city, serving business travellers, tourists and the surrounding Tayside region.

Today

Today, Dundee Airport is operated by Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL) and continues to provide an important gateway to eastern Scotland. While scheduled airline services are limited, the airport remains active throughout the year with general aviation, business aircraft, private flying, charter operations and flight training. Its close proximity to Dundee city centre—less than two miles away—makes it one of the most conveniently located regional airports in the United Kingdom.

The airport also supports air ambulance operations, corporate aviation and visiting aircraft, making it a busy regional facility despite its relatively compact size. For Microsoft Flight Simulator pilots, Dundee offers a challenging yet rewarding destination, with  spectacular views across the Firth of Tay and the surrounding Scottish coastline.

Navigation Details

Dundee Airport features a single asphalt runway, 09/27, measuring approximately 1,400 metres (4,593 feet). The runway is equipped with full lighting, an Instrument Landing System (ILS), PAPI approach lighting and modern navigation aids, allowing operations in a wide range of weather conditions. The compact apron and taxiway layout make Dundee an enjoyable airport for both airline and general aviation operations, while its coastal location and frequent Scottish weather provide an added challenge for virtual pilots
