The Grumman Traveler is a 4-seat general aviation aircraft intended for VFR flight. The vFlyteAir version includes a Century I autopilot capable of tracking VOR navigation aids, and ILS approaches

AVIONICS PACKAGE (VFR Flight with Two-Axis Autopilot)

  • Bendix King KX 170B COM1 and NAV1 radio
  • Bendix King KY 97A TSO COM2 radio
  • DME Indicator with Miles, Time to Station, and Ground Speed indicators
  • KR 85 TSO ADF Receiver
  • Bendix King KT76A Transponder
  • Bendix King KMA 20 TSO Audio Panel
  • Century I autopilot with Wing Leveler, VOR tracking and ILS tracking (pitch and roll)
  • Standard "six pack" gauges (Airspeed, Compass, Chronometer, Artificial Horizon, Directional Gyro, Vertical Speed Indicator, Altimeter/Baro, ADF Directional, Engine Tachometer, Omni-Bearing Selector slaved to NAV1, copilot Altimeter)
  • Engine gauges (EGT, CHT, Ammeter, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Fuel Pressure, Gyro Suction, Fuel (left and right) )

CHANGES FOR VERSION 3.1

  • Fixed panel-mounted elevator trim indicator - movement was backwards
  • We now HIDE the yoke control lock manipulator when the aircraft is airborne - too easy to re-install the yoke lock while in flight! Also added plugin code to remove the yoke lock automatically if the pilot forgot, and the airplane goes airborne
  • Fixed the A/P Interrupt button on the pilot yoke. Can now be clicked and held down to use Control Wheel Steering while autopilot servos are On-screen. Corrected the spelling of "A/P Interrupt" label on the pilot yoke
  • Fixed KY 97 COM2 radio power knob - Power knob can now be clicked to turn off the COM2 radio (added knob animation)
  • We now HIDE the ignition key manipulator located on top of the glareshield while in flight to prevent being able to remove the keys from ignition in flight, Keys cannot be removed from ignition receptacle unless the magnetos are set to OFF
  • Changed the visibility logic for the pilot figure - the pilot is now hidden if the airplane is on the ground, the engine is off, and the parking brake is set, regardless of the canopy open or closed
  • Reversed the Elevator Trim operation and trim indicator labels. Rotate trim wheel forward for DOWN trim, and aft for UP trim. This is now intuitive for pilots accustomed to operating trim wheels
  • The User Manual incorrectly stated that the Davtron chronometer shows Local Time - should be UTC
  • Keys cannot be removed from ignition receptacle until the ignition is OFF.
  • Starter lamp does not illuminate if trying to start the engine with the keys on the glareshield
  • Modified the Audio Amplifier fuse logic - if the fuse is pulled, audio volumes are set to zero, marker lamps will not illuminate, and the audio panel power lamp goes off
  • Corrected the COM1 fuse animation - does not get pulled now if NAV1 fuse is pulled
  • Corrected mesh textures on the interior of the pilot yoke columns sleeves - no longer transparent
  • The flaps paddle switch now operates as described in the Traveler POH - click and hold down to deploy flaps, click up once to fully retract
  • Fixed issues with COM2 radio still able to operate even if the power was off
  • The power lamp for the COM2 radio now goes off if the fuse is pulled
  • The audio panel volume knob now acts as a "master" volume for all devices that play through the audio panel. Individual radio volumes can be adjusted, but the audio panel volume will also control the volumes
  • Squelch noise (if on) is controlled by the appropriate radio - if COM1 is selected, the COM1 volume will control the squelch volume, and likewise for COM2. If neither COM1 or COM2 is selected on the audio panel the squelch sound will not be played
  • COM2 radio frequency manipulators, volume knob and flip/flop button are now un-clickable if the COM2 power is off, or the COM2 fuse is pulled
  • Fixed sound loop in engine sound sample
  • Enlarged a number of cockpit manipulators to make them easier to operate

NEW FEATURES FOR VERSION 3.0

  • Now X-Plane 10.50+ Compatible
  • New mouse scroll-wheel support for cockpit manipulators
  • New HDR-compatible custom interior lights (interior lights require HDR ON in X-Plane Rendering Settings)
  • New HDR_compatible custom exterior lights (HDR not required for exterior lights, but highly recommended)
  • New custom plug-in driven situation-aware sounds sounds recorded from a real Grumman AA5 - open the canopy to hear exterior sounds
  • Custom engine startup logic - if the engine is cold, it will take longer to start
  • On-screen pop-up control menu provides custom view selections and options controls
  • Animated ignition key - click on the keys located on to of glareshield to place them into the ignition
  • Radio volumes individually controlled - use the volume control knobs for each radio
  • Digital chronometer with custom Local Time, Universal Time and Automated Flight Timer
  • Century I autopilot (simulated) built into Turn/Bank indicator provides Stability Mode (wing leveler), VOR tracking, ILS Approach tracking, pitch up/down adjustment and roll override
  • Added rain and ice-textured glass objects - automatically appear according to X-Plane conditions
  • New 3-D propeller disc effect
  • 8 liveries included
  • Functional fuses and circuit breakers

GODZONE VF - REAL NEW ZEALAND NZCH/CHRISTCHURCH P3D

Amazing job from Godzone VF! This scenery looks great and the performance is also good. A must have scenery for everyone who loves to fly to New Zealand.
RFSCENERYBUILDING - LIPZ VENICE MARCO POLO AIRPORT FSX P3D

Nice airport but like all RF Scenery they are not in the same league as Orbx quality so l can’t give them a 5/5. They are really good and do deserve a 4/5.

Been using this several years. Great program with no complaints!
LIONHEART CREATIONS - LIONHEART - DIAMOND STAR DA40 XLS FSX P3D

Just got my PPL in a DA-40. Does not look, feel, or sound like the real aircraft. No left turning tendency on takeoff. Doesn’t float on the landings. Horrible G1000 functionality. Just as good as the Abacus A380.

good scenary, but for a newest soda update is needed, hope the author add this for everyone;)
FLYSIMWARE - FALCON 50 FSX P3D

A great addon! Nice model with some animations and a detailed interior, excellent hand flying, an brief yet complete documentation, an interactive load manager and the choice between a rather analogue cockpit and the possibility to retrofit it with a more advanced GPS device like the GTN 750 and the REX weather radar (both to be purchased separately-not included!)! -
I love this bird!
JUSTFLIGHT - A318 JETLINER

I have owned this for a year or two now, it sits in the LITE area of complexity. Wh-
ich means since you are alone in the cockpit work load is reduced by half, which in a way makes it feel even more realist (more time to focus on the flying). It has a basic FMC which operates alone quite well, you can load saved flight plans into, also it will plan major routes automatically and also has a direct to function. Overall it is a slimmed down FMC which works well without the need for external plugins (FSUIPC). Th-
e 3D model is up there with the best, the cockpit is a custom made on, it is a little basic and similar to the Default A321. Flight model is pretty good, it is a little underpowered, and has a tendency to want to "nose down" during decent but over all its really good. (I have actually made a few tweaks to the config to get it to make real world performance and its a dream to fly now). There is NO FLY BY WIRE though, but for this price you cant complain, and performance and framerates are so high that you can forgive this. These days it's the only airliner I fly! And, set up correctly she will fly from Shannon to New York just like the real aircraft can. I found using the sound from the Aerosoft A319 suits this aircraft the best but the default sound is also very good. Overal-
l a lovely aircraft and great fun to fly.

One of the Best VABB scenery! I really loved it! Only if you add some buildings and the fire depot of the airport it will be a great airport!
FLIGHT SIMULATOR INNOVATIVE ADDONS - FLIGHT SIMULATOR FIRST OFFICER TFDI 717 EDITION FSX P3D
Joe
Outstanding! Great addition and also great value per dollar. This first officer is well conceived and just as well executed. It isn't frequent to encounter a skilled programmer who also has a good sense of human interfaces and gui. After my experiences with other add-on copilots, I hesitated on this for several weeks. I shouldn't have. It is just what I wanted in this type of add-on. With this I'm learning a lot of the little things I haven't been doing. I can to a sense learn by example, beginning with letting the first officer do almost everything, then taking more onto myself. I've been an amateur flight simmer for 30 years and can complete a flight with any aircraft. But, I've always known I was taking advantage of the limitations of the sim and cutting many corners. This first officer is teaching me new things and adding a lot to my enjoyment of the flights with him. Thank you, Matthew King! Great Job!
