The Dassault Alpha Jet* is a training and tactical-support twin-jet tandem two-seater. It was designed for a program jointly run by France’s and Germany’s air forces. It is used by the Patrouille de France** aerobatics team since 1981.
It was the first aircraft produced conjointly by Dassault and Breguet. Planned to succeed the Fouga Magister and the Lockheed T 33 as advanced jet trainer, it was undertaken in cooperation with the German Dornier Corporation. Specifications were changed during the development.
As a symbol of combined French and German excellence, the Alpha Jet* could not represent better several generations of aeronautical presence and dreams. As well as still being the basic platform for initial military training, and having trained hundreds and hundreds of pilots, the Alphajet is a jewel to fly for all passionate simmers.
We have tried to get as close as possible to a study level aircraft, with the information publicly available on the aircraft, and the many interviews and feedback from pilots. We'll be continuing to refine it with this aim in mind, and to take advantage of feedback from enthusiasts, pilots and specialists in this thoroughbred horse.
The flight model faithfully represents the best that can be achieved with flight simulator, the aircraft being optimized for the modern flightsim aerodynamic engine. The aircraft is thus “interpreted” in the game, with its aerodynamic qualities directly calculated from its geometry.
The Alpha Jet* will give you immense pleasure, whether flying as a wingman, at the controls of an acrobatic team, in hyper-dynamic evolutions such as a solo-display, or in very low altitude tactical flight, the experience will be unequalled.

Nice airplane easy and fun to flight everithing work good, the only problem is the integrated gps a little bit small so need some improvement. I waiting for some weapons and other nice gadgets
I took a chance with this new developer that I’ve never heard of and am mostly pleased with what I got here.
I’ll start with problems. The pilot figure looks really small but after seeing numerous real world pictures I think that has more to do with the bubble canopy being a little oversized? It’s hard to be sure but something is definitely off.
The engine sounds are underwhelming and when heard externally there is a flanger like distortion that can be heard now and then. Not always. The overall engine sounds seem real weak to me.
There is no rear seat copilot no matter what setting is enabled, just always empty in the back.
Can’t get the display smoke to work after following all instructions? But I have Air Show Assistant so I can have all the smoke I want with that.
Ground handling is good. The flight model (best as anyone who isn’t a real world pilot can tell) actually seems to be in line with what I believe it should be. It’s a quick and nimble aircraft that is a real fun experience in the sim. There are some little wobbles here and there during extreme (but still in the envelope) maneuvering. Then again maybe that’s accurate?
The texturing inside is pretty good with expected wear and tear.
The GPS unit however is broken as when turned on only top left quarter of the screen displays the expected images, like the map or flight plan etc. the remaining 3/4th of that screen are black.
All of the systems seem to work and there’s extensive check lists available to walk you through. So far as I can tell everything is simulated by the numbers as far as systems are concerned.
Externally the aircraft looks good but with some ares that seem unfinished. The nose gear for example looks pretty bad, the main are a little better.
Overall it’s a pretty decent add on but all things considered the asking price is a bit much especially since it’s an unknown developer with zero track record to rely upon. I can only hope that they will be as diligent as they say (see their Facebook) they are and deliver quick fixes and further developments. Not bad though for a first timer. I like flying this Alpha Jet.
