    • Description

    The CH-53 was designed to meet an ever increasing demand for payload and range commitments from the Marines and Navy, the Marines were looking for extended off beach deployment to secure there vessels from counter attack. The specifications also called for conversions to assault, personnel and medical transportation as well as downed air frame recovery. Sikorsky won the contract against stiff competition from Boeing and Kaman to produce what is one of todays fastest and heaviest utility helicopters.

    Easily the best helo in FS2004. Probably the best stock sound file, and flies very nicely. Feels like a big heavy but still agile helo, as they are. Can't say enough about it, top 5 FS9 add-ons in my honest opinion. Some of Virtavia/Alpha models are not worth the money (as they are mostly freeware now), but this one is so much worth every penny. I fly in VC 99%, so it reigns top 5.

Bei mir sind jedenfalls nach einiger Zeit 6 schön Texturierte Rotorblätter zu sehen! Doch ein klares - auch von mir: Der Sound klingt ganz und gar nicht nach CH-53!

    Hier meine Bewertung zur CH-53A: Was mir gut gefällt: -Das Außenmodell sieht sehr schön aus (mit Abgasfahne etc.) -Die Flugeigenschaften: Lässt sich auch bei hohen Realitätsgrad- einstellungen sehr einfach steuern (realistisch ?) -Beeinträchtigt die Bildwiederholrate sehr gering Was mir nicht gefällt: -Das virtuelle Cockpit: die Anzeigen haben beim heran zoomen eine sehr schlechte Auflösung (Triebwerksanzeigen nicht lesbar) -Das virtuelle Cockpit dient nur zur anzeige, Radios, Lichter etc. muss man über 2D Panel schalten. -Die virtuelle Kabine hört hinter dem Cockpit auf. -Der Sound beschränkt sich auf eine Datei für Triebwerk innen und außen (sehr dürftig !) -Keine Startup oder Shut Down funktion. (Nach dem Abschalten läuft der Rotor einfach weiter) -Die Außentexturen verschwimmen beim heran zoomen. Fazit: Für mich ist das Produkt mit 34€ viel zu teuer, da gibt es viel bessere Freeware Hubschrauber mit besserem Sound und super 3D Cockpit. Ich kann vom kauf nur abraten, man wird sich ärgern so viel Geld für einen halbfertigen Hubschrauber ausgegeben zu haben. (Wenn ich mir überlege was man für eine Qualität bei z.b. PMDG für 35€ bekommt ist das hier einfach unverschämt!) Für mich eingentlich nur ein halber Stern!
