The Beechcraft T-34 Mentor is a propeller-driven, single-engined, military trainer aircraft derived from the Beechcraft Model 35 Bonanza. The earlier versions of the T-34, dating from around the late 1940s to the 1950s, were piston-engined. These were eventually succeeded by the upgraded T-34C Turbo Mentor, powered by a turboprop engine. The T-34 remains in service almost six decades after it was first designed. The T-34C Turbine Mentor is powered by a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-25 turboprop engine and was developed in 1973, with the final example rolling off the production line in 1990.

I have an older version of the very same product from when Virtavia sold it in the FSX Steam add ons. I’m reviewing here and now because the start up sequence is not hard at all. You just have to turn the fuel switch on (under the throttle) then flip the starter on the right side forward console area, and make sure the generator is on. It does work and I learned it by reading the included manual and. Little common sense. I hate to see bad reviews because of operator error. That said I only paid a total $11 back when I initially purchased this and see nothing new to suggest justifying a $28 price tag except for a couple new liveries.
The engine audio is fantastic and so is the flight model. Just be sure to turn on the oxygen and the cabin heat when over 10K feet or the canopy will fog up and also hypoxia is simulated which will end your flight. This is way better than the Carenado Mentor but not $28 better. It’s way over priced now.
Still it may be one of Virtavia’s best simulated turbo prop they ever offered, but seriously why nearly 3 times what I paid now?
"NOT EASY TO START PER MANUAL"
So I bought this as I was attracted to the 2 seat trainer concept and being so zealous I shelled in. Anyways despite the comprehensive manual, the real gauge thingy, I give it 1 star.
The start up sequence is not easy, and if it was, it is not happening... Even on Ctrl+E... The propeller doesn't turn and I spent an entire day looking for ways to start it (start the engine I mean).. Nothing..!!!
I guess this is why you don't see it on virtavia's website.. Pfft.. what a joke...
Of course I dont expect a refund from simmarket nor a replacement product for same price but I thought I'd give other nuts like me a heads up before they barge in and spend money. DO NOT BUY IT!!! IT IS BROKEN!
