The DeHavilland Vampire was developed during World War II, following closely behind the Gloster Meteor, and is one of the world's first jet fighter aircraft. It arrived too late to serve in the war, but provided excellent service to a mumber of countries for many years after. Total production of the Vampire exceeded 4500 units in a number of different variations. The T.22 Sea Vampire is a two-seat trainer aircraft, built for the Royal Navy, powered by a Goblin 35 Turbojet, with 73 units built.
