Are you a bush pilot? Would you like to fly as a bush pilot in Papua New Guinea? Then welcome to Mount Hagen Transport.
As the name implies, Mount Hagen Transport operates out of the Mount Hagen Airport (also known as Kagamuga International Airport, AYMH) in the Waghi Valley, 13 km north-east of Mount Hagen, the capital of Western Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea.
Once you register as a new pilot, you’ll have access to our Pilot Portal where you can review all of the missions available.
Normally a new pilot would need to fly an approach with an experienced pilot before taking on the mission as PIC, but because that is not practical each mission includes a briefing, an arrival chart and an approach photograph taken from the cockpit of one of our aircraft. Additionally, most missions have an approach video you can watch on YouTube. This should provide you with enough information to fly the missions successfully the first time. You’ll also be flying with a co-pilot who will manage all radio calls and provide approach and landing information.
All missions are configured to use either the Cessna C208B Grand Caravan or the Cessna C408 SkyCourier. However, information is provided within the Pilot Portal describing how you can setup a mission to fly almost any suitable aircraft you want to use.
After accepting a mission from within the Pilot Portal it will be waiting for you in the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 ‘Custom Content’ area. Fly the mission and follow all instructions given. After landing at your destination your co-pilot will identify the Flight Registration Code needed to register completion of the mission. Return to the Pilot Portal to do this.
A Guidebook has been provided that explains everything in detail. You’ll want to review this before starting your career. Additionally, a support email address is provided in case you have any issues or questions.
