Virtualcol is proud to present the new product JETSTREAM SUPER 31, a detailed model based on the aircraft BAE Jetstream 32 (Super 31) developed for use with Flight simulator X and full compatible with PREPAR3D. Meets all standards for modeling, mapping (textured) and animations required by the Flight simulator X.

I have FS2004, XP11, Aerofly, P3D V5.3 and MSFS and my utilisation of each of is determined by a number of factors. FS2004 is still my favourite largely due the large amount scenery and add-ons which still look good on a fairly high spec rig, which is dedicated to FS2004. I bought the FS2004 version of this 'aircraft' and have now have the FSX/P3D version which runs in P3D V5.3 without any issues that I have been able to discover at the time of this review. The interior is still not up to the standard of Carenado, but it is reliable (unlike the Falcon 50 by said developer) Having spent hours with the MOM for the real aircraft it appears that that the fuel capacity and consumption need tweaked via the config file (see LM P3D guide on this) but that aside everything else appears to conform at price expectation and this 'aircraft' is a terrific value proposition. It's a subjective view but Virtualcol show so much promise and I will be duplicating my FS2004 purchases for P3D.

Da ich meinem alten Fs2004 noch eine Weile treu bleiben will und auch mal gerne etwas exotische Muster fliege, habe ich mich nach einem passenden Flugzeug umgesehen. Daher bin ich u.a. bei dieser gelandet. Nein, bereut habe ich den Kauf, zumal bei diesem Preis, nicht, obwohl ich zunächst recht skeptisch war. Nun ja, optisch und von der Systemtiefe sind die Jetstream nun wirklich keine Oberliga. Auch die Geräte sind in vielen Hinsichten stark vereinfacht, aber man kann mühelos MSFS Flugpläne laden, diese auch per "FMS" anpassen und abfliegen. Allerdings stammt dieses "FMS" offensichtlich aus einer nicht bekannten Producktreihe, und ist im Funktionsumfang stark eingeschränkt. Aber vor allem Radionavigation funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Flugeigenschaften sind recht gut getroffen. Es macht Spaß, auch diese Maschine von Hand zu fliegen! Wer Saitek Autopilot- und Radiopanel sein Eigen nennt, kann damit die Flugzeuge einwandfrei bedienen. Wer also über die genannten Kleinigkeiten wie die kaum mehr zeitgemäße Optik und ein nur beschränkt nutzbares "FMC" hinwegsehen kann, vor allem aber kein hochklassiges Add on auf Carenado oder PMDG Niveau erwartet, erhält ein Passagierflugzeuge für den schnellen Feierabendflug. Und das vor allem für kleines Geld... Daher halte ich die 5 Sterne für gerechtfertigt.

well i agree it is a small plane but whit realisem you have to lear the startup procidure els you would get this plane to life not that it is that hard just so you know it isent just like a default plane just upgraded a bit, as ex my first flight i lost both engins as i made an misstake.. so yes the visual isent up to what you find in the most common planes but on the other hand this is like the fokker 60 i got earlyer they spend more time on getting things work right and realistic than the visual ey candy some products have.. so some times les grafic ey candy means better / more realistic flight experince as i have seen whit thos 2 projects... whit out to much comparing... I give it 4 stars to reach the star number 5 it would be grate whit a grafic face lift... whit out sayeing it´s bad at this point

Fazit: "Das Fazit fällt mir trotz einer gewissen Eindeutigkeit dieses Mal nicht allzu leicht. Klar ist: Die VirtualCol Jetstream Super 31 ist definitiv keine Schönheit, und wird es sicher auch durch keinen einzigen Patch allzu schnell werden. Wer Wert auf zeitgemäßes, schönes Design legt, sollte hier auf jeden Fall die Finger weg lassen und von einem Kauf schlicht und ergreifend absehen. Wem die Optik nicht allzu wichtig ist, und ein nettes Flugzeug für den ein oder anderen Feierabend-Flug erhalten möchte, ist hier sicher eher richtig. Dazu kommt, dass FSX-User vielleicht lieber ein paar Euro mehr investieren und sich die Jetstream JS41 von PMDG kaufen sollten. Die Jetstream Super 31 von VirtualCol hat definitiv Potenzial. Man hat hier einiges richtig gemacht, andererseits leider auch vieles falsch. Es gibt einfach noch – abgesehen von der Optik, diese wurde ja mittlerweile hinreichend kritisiert – viel zu viele Ungereimtheiten, die seitens VirtualCol schleunigst durch einen Patch korrigiert werden sollten. Im Gegensatz des ersten Flugzeug Add-Ons von VirtualCol, und von dieser Seite muss man es nun eben auch sehen – hat sich schon einiges getan und zum Guten gewendet. Ich persönlich glaube an die Jungs von VirtualCol, bin gespannt, wie künftige Add-Ons optisch daher kommen werden und bin durchaus bereit, den Designern noch so manche Chance zu geben, sich mit weiteren Flugzeugen vielleicht noch etwas mehr unter Beweis zu stellen." The VirtualCol Jetstream 31 is a fantastic addition to anyone's FSX collection, it looks pretty, it functions well and the flight dynamics are realistic. The general aircraft is easy to fly aswell as being very easy on frame-rates. The Virtual Cockpit is a little bare, but looks realistic enough to give it a 5* rating. If your considering buying it, then you need think no more, it carrys an in-depth adaption of the systems, great customer support and a nice soundset! Well worth the money in my opinion.
