Welcome to a new float base pack! FS2020 was released without any operable seaplane bases. Our scenery expansions address that shortcoming.

This pack includes Gold River (CAU6), Port Hardy (CAW0), Campbell RIver (CAE3) Bella Bella (Shearwater CAW1) and Rivers Inlet (CAU8).

Vancouver Island is a jewel lying off the BC coastline. Its rugged beauty has inspired artists and adventurers for years, with some great backpacking and skiing, beautiful rivers and inlets for boaters and fishermen. There are also large active mining and logging operations that require the use of aircraft on floats.

Gold River is a small town in the rugged interior of Vancouver Island, and an important destination for seaplanes. This scenery expansion adds some important detail including terraforming, and also makes it possible to use flight planners in MSFS. The docks and nearby port include night lighting.

Campbell River is in a unique hub position on the west coast. It is just north of midway north and south, and it allows easy access by float plane to all the communites up and down the west coast and on the many islands in the Straight of Georgia. Both for sea commerce and the fishing and logging industry, Campbell River is a critical meeting point.

    Rivers Inlet

Rivers Inlet is set in a beautiful fjord off Fitz hugh Sound, about 125 km southwest of Bella Coola, and about 65 km north of Vancouver Island. It has a well known salmon run that attracts sportsment, and its also a destination for loggers.

    Bella Bella (Shearwater)

Bella Bella sits on the east coastline of Campbell Island, about 180km north of Port Hardy. It sits on the Inside Passage, a major sea transportation route linking the area to all regions north including Alaska. The resumption of ferry service and a major air route from Port Hardy contributed to the towns revival.

    Port Hardy

Port Hardy is the gaeway to Cape Scott Provincial Park, but also offers access to spectacular wilderness destinations, with kayaking, scuba diving, fishing and camping being a few. It also serves as an air hub for destinations north and east.

    Version History

1.1 fixed Gold RIver sometimes failed to load

    1.2
Fixed double airport item that sometimes prevented the flight from loading at Gold River.

1.3 Improved lighting at Tofino, Shearwater and Gold River.

    1.4
Add Options for Photogrammetry. This revision includes Gold River, Port Hardy, Campbell RIver and Rivers Inlet. If you have Data/Photogrammetry ON harbors can look rather ugly down low. In this case extract the three folders from the airports-PH.ZIP then delete the following folders:

    cau6-griver
    caw0-hardy
    cae3-crbase
    caus8-rivers

    YOu are ready to fly!

1.5 Minor changes to lighting and terraforming at Campbell River. Add Photogrammetry option for Rivers Inlet.

    Requirements

Any PC running MSFS2020 will easily add these regional float bases.
