Beijing Capital International Airport (IATA: PEK, ICAO: ZBAA) is the main international airport serving Beijing.
It is located 32 km (20 mi) northeast of Beijing's city center, in an enclave of Chaoyang District and the surroundings of that enclave in suburban Shunyi District.
The airport is owned and operated by the Beijing Capital International Airport Company Limited, a state-controlled company.
The airport's IATA Airport code, PEK, is based on the city's former romanized name, Peking.

Beijing Capital International Airport is the main hub for Air China, the flag carrier of the People's Republic of China, which flies to around 120 destinations (excluding cargo) from Beijing.
China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines and China Southern Airlines also use the airport as their hub.

Beijing Capital added Terminal 3 in 2008 in time for the 2008 Summer Olympics, the second largest airport terminal in the world after Dubai International Airport's Terminal 3, and the sixth largest building in the world by area.
Beijing Capital International Airport covers 1480 hectares of land.

This is a massive airport and the developer has done a great job of representing it. Lots of detail everywhere, inside and out of the terminals. The animated trains are a nice touch. The SODE jet ways are great and performance even with UTLive running was pretty good. The only issues I encountered was the ground polygon disappearing at certain angles, and flickering on the ground at night with Dynamic Lighting installed. It looks a bit weird so something must be going on with it. Overall happy with my purchase. Fix the dynamic light and ground poly issue issue and it would be 5 stars.

ZBAA ist ein Airport, auf den ich schon lange gewartet habe. Dennoch kann ich wie mein Vorredner auch nur 4 Sterne vergeben, wenn auch aus anderen Gründen. Zum einen definiert die AFX-Datei keinerlei Airline-Terminal-Belegungen, was händisch viel Arbeit macht. Zum anderen ist der Airport lieblos in die FSX-Standard-Szenerie eingebunden. FlyTampa hat mit Athen gezeigt, wie man es richtig macht. Für den Preis muss mehr drin sein. Positiv zu erwähnen bleiben die vielen statischen und sogar dynamischen Fahrzeuge, die für Atmosphäre sorgen, das gelungene riesige Terminal 3 und die einwandfrei arbeitenden SODE Jetways, die in Verbindung mit GSX genutzt werden sollten.

Endlich hat das Warten ein Ende und mit dieser Szenerie eine Lücke in (guter) Payware für Peking wurde geschlossen. Eine recht gute Umsetzung ist der, zum Zeitpunkt der Veröffentlichung eher noch unbekannten Schmiede, "WF Scenery" hier gelungen, wenngleich ein Stern abgezogen werden musste, da die Szenerie in der Release-Version recht kühl wirkt; nicht den Flair widerspiegelt, was in Sachen Architektur das reale Vorbild hergeben würde. Auch fehlt es an überzeugenden Abnutzungsspuren, dafür kann problemlos nach Charts die Taxiways benutzt werden (Stand Anfang 2018) und die Beschilderungen sind klar lesbar. Auch die SODE-Jetways funktionieren tadellos. Abzüge sind allerdings auch hinsichtlich der grafischen Umsetzung im Gesamten fällig; zu wenig lebendig kommen die Farben daher (wirkt gemalt), Gras wurde irgendwie leblos wie scheinbar lustlos dargestellt. Für den aktuell aufgerufenen Preis von über 30 Euro muss künftig schon mehr kommen; für das Geld ist der Flusianer von heute Qualität ála TaxiToGate, Flightbeam oder Flytampa gewohnt und erwartet das auch. Dennoch ist WF Beijing eine schöne Szenerie, die ein Pilot der gern im Asiatischen Raum unterwegs ist im Portfolio haben sollte.
