Beijing Capital International Airport (IATA: PEK, ICAO: ZBAA) is the main international airport serving Beijing.
It is located 32 km (20 mi) northeast of Beijing's city center, in an enclave of Chaoyang District and the surroundings of that enclave in suburban Shunyi District.
The airport is owned and operated by the Beijing Capital International Airport Company Limited, a state-controlled company.
The airport's IATA Airport code, PEK, is based on the city's former romanized name, Peking.
Beijing Capital International Airport is the main hub for Air China, the flag carrier of the People's Republic of China, which flies to around 120 destinations (excluding cargo) from Beijing.
China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, and China Southern Airlines also use the airport as their hub.
Beijing Capital added Terminal 3 in 2008 in time for the 2008 Summer Olympics, the second largest airport terminal in the world after Dubai International Airport's Terminal 3, and the sixth largest building in the world by area.
Beijing Capital International Airport covers 1480 hectares of land.

First, the docking on the jetways. I tested it with the PMDG 747-8i and the Qualitywings 787-9 and found identical results. The jetways docked positioned way too high, about 2 ft above the doorway.
2nd, performance is somewhat of an issue.
3rd. The Dynamic Lighting needs a bit of work. I get it.
4th, the lack of snow or other options. Beijing gets snow real-world, and I would love to see it modeled in sim.
Nightlights almost there. Apron spots not realistic, "poodle" alike - leaving out one star for that reason.

Simmers must get your sceneries regardless if FSX or P3D. My sim FSX and P3Dv4 are so happy! Good work!

1) The ground textures. They look too smooth and not realistic, especially at night when the textures would flash under taxi lights.
2) The dynamic lighting is way too bright and unrealistic. Furthermore, when seen from a fixed camera and the view gets rotated, the lights would be gone but restored if the camera is rotated back.
My only negative comment is that it only works with p3Dv4. I have installed the product there & it looks fantastic in all its detail. Unfortunately my FS PC requires an upgrade to fully utilize all the improvements p3Dv4 brings so I still use p3Dv3 for my simming.
This airport has been waiting so long for a decent payware airport that I would pay an additional amount (as required by other developers) for a version that supports p3Dv3 & other 'legacy' platforms.
5 stars - easily!
Finally, how about tackling ZSPD Shanghai Pudong after another well known developer made such as mess of it?

Overall we've got a very nicely modelled airport here with crisp textures, fine night lighting and SODE jetways. Visually the whole massive area is just stunning.
However there is something bugging me. I can see that even the surrounding ORBX FTX Global landscape is lacking snow cover in the winter despite Beijing frequently receiving snowfall but my concern is that why are the winter textures at the airport basically the same as the summer ones? The surrounding ORBX landscape does have different - although snowless ground textures but not the airport. I'd expect at least trees without foliage in the winter, a different coloured grass and ground texturing and especially a way nicer blending into the surrounding ORBX landscape. This is kind of ruining the overall image of the product as a whole. It does not feel and look like winter in the airport at all with the lively vibrant green foliage of the trees and the green grass. What a pity.
I am hoping that the guys behind WFSS will address the above and amend the seasonal textures so that it is more realistic because right now it feels like there is only one season in the Chinese capital. Trees, grass, ground (soil), stuff like that, to bring more cold winter feeling into the place, and of course, an option to blend with ORBX FTX Global.
Apart from this, it's another quality release from the developers, you won't regret your purchase and I am optimistic that whatever needs improving will be looked into in due course.
