The CRJ NextGen is not an update for the previously released Regional Jet Vol.1 – CRJ (and New Generation) but a completely new development for FSX.
The CRJ NextGen doesn't feature a PILOT IN COMMAND developement level. Complexity of some procedures and/or equipment functionnalities may have been reduced to suit beginners and medium skilled simmers.

Despite the bad reviews, I bought it ... thinking ... it can't be THAT bad.
It is.
It's worse.
It's a nightmare.
The autopilot is a disaster. It does nothing you tell it and it behaves erratically. Even the basic modes such as VS or heading select - forget it.
The Virtual Cockpit is out of sync with the 2D (limited) panels. The lights don't sync, the autopilot - it doesn't listen to your mouse clicks unless you flip over to the 2D - then they are out of sync.
It's absurd the developer released this product and actually takes money from people.
As much as you want a commercial CRJ and think you can live with some flaws, don't do it. I had low expectations and was still surprised how bad it actually is. They should be ashamed.

Bought this to use in a virtual airline, need to do 20 hours in this. Been practicing flights in it, nothing works FMC half works barely follows plan. Autopilot doesnt work and it impossible to enter in what u need it to do, like setting up course for an ils, speed control the plane has no idea whats going on. I hate this plane i cant wait til my 20 hours is up so i can never see it again. Sorry wilco lost a customer and for the record it could be great with an nice update for the problems, wilco never respond to anything. The best thing about this product is how to box looks dont be fooled.

Complete waste of money. I purchased this aircraft on the strength of what Wilco told me when I discussed with them the number of complaints about this product. They assured me (after they reviewed all the complaints) that all the problems had been fixed, but they have not. The basic model texture is ok but I find the default model texture actually better. The cockpit is a shocker, cannot see half of the FMC buttons and when you open the FMC panel and what is reflected there and in the VC view does not correspond. I have heard a lot about Wilco's products but this one is a half job and appears it was rushed and not finished off.

The plane may look nice and provide minimal FPS hit, but as far as operating the airplane in a remotely realistic manner, this plane is a complete waste of money. The autopilot doesn't operate accurately or smoothly, the FMS is a joke, and the lighting is poor at night.
