Twentynine Palms (formerly known as Twenty-Nine Palms) was named for the palm trees found there in 1852 by Col. Henry Washington. Located in the Mojave Desert, California, dry climate, palm trees, shrubs and sand as far as the eye can see characterize Twentynine Palms Airport and its vicinity.

Twentynine Palms Airport is the third internal project of our scenery development company 29Palms Scenery Design. We’ve set a whole new level of detail and realism with the scenery, based on many references from the real airport. It is our first project which comes with animated people and also features many new 3D objects, exclusively designed for this scenery. The project also introduces new configuration software which makes it possible to control and automatically update this scenery as well as our future developments. Along with a huge library of high quality 3D objects, the software forms the basis for all prospective 29Palms sceneries. Covering over 250km² with high resolution satellite imagery, the scenery provides a lot to explore.

This is another excellent scenery add on from Aerosoft. I’ve driven through the real world area several times but many years ago. From what I can recall this is a spot on recreation. The various airport animations are a cool addition not usually found in most add on sceneries. Even if a few of the people are just walking in the same repetitive circles. The night lighting of this area is really good as well as the ambient audio sound effects. The low flying eagle can be heard above the field, as well as seen. Really good amount of AI traffic make for an active feeling airport in the desert. I wish they could’ve made the surrounding area a little bigger. The description makes it sound huge, but it’s really not. Still very nice and if you have other Mojave area sceneries then you can’t pass this up.

Super! Highly recommended. You can even land an ERJ135 there, it will fit taxiway curbs and RWY. And everything that smaller then ERJ135 will fit also. Happy flying...

Let me start off by saying that this is incredible I own a few Orbx airport's however they impact frame rates significantly, growing up in Orange county not far from this airport it's refreshing to see developers pay strict attention to minor details, buy it you won't be sorry you did.

Absolutely flawless! You can almost feel the sand in your eyes and the desert sun beating down on you. Super high FPS, incredibly detailed and the modeling is excellent. Wish these guys would do another US airport as I'm not an ORBX fan. Best money I've spent on FS in a while. Buy this, you won't be sorry.

This is of those little (or big) gems you come across every now and then. The developers went full length to detail this scenery. It has the look and feel of the actual airport and surrounding area. I do hope the developers continue producing sceneries like this one. Its well worth everything here and the price is a bargain for what you get. See for yourself and buy it. :)
