The Mega Airport Dusseldorf by the German Airports team is now available. Germany´s third ranking international Airport with two parallel runways is the largest and primary airport for the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region - the largest metropolitan region in Germany. With 107 aircraft parking positions available it also is equipped to handle the A380. Germany´s top carriers Lufthansa and Air Berlin use this airport as one of their hubs.

The airport Dusseldorf comes as an absolute realistic 3D model for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, Prepar3D and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 in its actual real world state. Based on an aerial image from 2012 it contains all buildings and objects. It also incorporates the new taxiway layout and signs as well as the new visual docking systems which had only been installed in August 2012. All textures come in high resolution. Dynamic objects such as apron vehicles, traffic on roads and motorways, trains and trams create this special atmosphere found on this airport.

This is a good an solid scenery from Aerosoft. The textures and buildings are good. But unfortunately this scenery is from 2012. So the A380 Gate C02 and other new things are not added. The frames are good. But all in all it is a good scenery!

Ein sehr ansprechender Flughafen. Es macht jedenfalls immer wieder Spass, nach Düsseldorf zu fliegen. Allerdings hätten an gewissen Stellen etwas bessere Texturen verwendet werden können, aber dennoch war es ein guter Kauf!

Guten Morgen Deutschland. Thank you for a wonderful and money well spent Scenery. Brought a ticket from Simmarket (20 Euros) and flown to Dusseldorf to feel the experience other Virtual Pilots opinion on this scenery and It was worth it. Simply Wonderful :-) [FS2004]

Eigentlich ist der Mega Airport Düsseldorf schon gut umgesetzt worden nur einige Dinge enttäuschen mich sehr. Zum einen sind die Lichteffekte an den Gebäuden und den Vorfeldbereichen zu dunkel. Als nächstes fehlt im südlichen Teil des Flughafens neben der Feuerwache das Bodenradar und noch so einige Kleinigkeiten. Die Zuschauerterassen sind menschenleer und völlig langweilig. Für 26,00€ hätte man noch mehr reinpacken können. Aber der geht noch in Ordnung.

Definitely a must have position. Dusseldorf like every airport from this developer is greatly superb! Just amazing, with big attention to details, no fps killer. It's nice to fly over Germany in such conditions. :) Waiting for more airports from German Airport Team (many thanks for continuation developing for FS9) e.g. new German Airports 1 set to complete the region.

Impressive piece of work. The airport is complex, but well depicted, the AESLite fleet is there in all its splendor giving life to the aprons and the airport surroundings. On my PC (i7, GTX260) I get 25+ fps in a default Cessna flying around the airport, with the TrafficX slider set to 40% (which is a lot of AI traffic), so the performance is quite ok for my purpose. A Carenado C208 is 22-25FPS when circling around the area. More complex aircraft were not tested. It is the usual Aerosoft texture quality, not real HD or any new shadowing technologies like Flightbeam, ORBX or FlyTampa have introduced. But what is there is solid, adequately detailed for normal & it is bug free. If you know Aerosoft products then you know what I mean. What is really neat is the nearby detailed train station with three different types of train sets, including the ICE, stopping there. Smooth stops and accelerations of the trams and monorails running through other parts of the area add to exceptional 'live feel'. I am impressed! Lighting and night textures are quite nicely done, although, as usual..., they are slightly bright and with too little contrast for my taste. This is however not unique to this airport. If you are an ariport buff like me wanting lots of life and movement then this is definitely recommended, it is probably the best one to date when it comes to that aspect. I would have liked a slighlty larger area of the surroundings included in the scenery. As it is now, the edges are quite close to the airport, meaning that it is always close to the default, ugly, FSX world outside, which is a bit annoying. This however is only a problem when sightseeing around the area, and would not be a problem if you are an Airline pilot sticking mostly to the Airport itself and just fly in and out. It is not visible from the airport area. Note, IFR flights were not tested, so I cant comment on the accuracy and functionality of that. In summary: Apart from the minor issues i have with it, this is a great product! If you want to fly in central Europe and like a buzzling and lively destination to fly in to, this is an absolute gem.

DUS wurde exzellent umgesetzt und die ohnehin schon hervorragende FS9-Version wurde nochmals verbessert. Dieser Airport ist einfach sehr realitätsnah gestaltet und zudem ein guter Performer im FSX. Leider gibt es halt keine statischen LTU-Flieger mehr...

Keine DirectX 10 unterstützung und Fluggastbrücken docken nicht an. Bin etwas entäuscht, Texturen bzw der Komplette Flughafen ist gut umgesetzt aber ich ziehe den Freeware Airport diesem vor !!!

Schöner Airport in gewohnter GAP - Qualität. Aber eben auch nicht mehr. Wer hier 5 Sterne vergibt, kann Produkte von der Güte eines OMDB (FlyTampa) o.ä. nicht mehr sinnvoll bewerten. Sehr ordentliche Texturierung, prima Performance, keine auffälligen Schwächen - allerdings ist der Airport nicht gut in die Umgebung eingebunden. Die Gesamtatmosphäre stimmt, man fühlt sich, wenn man den Airport wie ich gut kennt, sofort zu Hause. Für DUS - Liebhaber sicherlich ein Muss und wesentlich besser als die Freeware, für alle Anderen - auch aufgrund des völlig unspektakulären Anflugs - ein Airport der recht schnell auf der Platte verstaubt. Dreieinhalb Sterne dafür ...
