The airport opened on 3 May 1937. It was upgraded in 2003 and the terminal was expanded and provided with 6 jetbridges for passenger boarding, with a capacity of 4 million passengers per year. In 2018, the airport handled 4,370,014 passengers. It was named in 1937 after Mario Mameli, a bomber pilot from the fascist-era Italian airforce shot down in the Second Italo-Ethiopian War.

It's a good scenery but due to massive stutters for me unfortunately unusable :( I don't have this issue with similiar sceneries (but a few other too of course).

the airport works well also in my old PC. Four stars why? The fingers don't work because the ground frequency is unusable.

ottimo aeroporto meglio di palermo che spero migliori un po cagliari elmas tutto perfetto nella sua essenzialita' senza gli interni che non servono a nulla personalmente quindi 5 stelle ok

Much better and more accurate than their LICJ Palermo scenery. Better texturing, ground textures are good. Their best effort to date. 4 stars, because there are some things missing, the interior as usually is not even considered. Terminal night lighting is incomplete but the ramp lights look nice.

Hey, thank you very much for this beautiful airport! I am very satisfied, it is very detailed. I didn't notice any frame rate drops.

I purchased this scenery on ORBX, but anyways the scenery is very good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that it causes a lot of stutters when panning one’s view around in it’s vicinity, and I am operating a GTX3090. I believe that if the developer would implement some additional LODs that this could be minimized and performance improved.
