Based on use with FSX SE, 3.2ghz win10 16gb ram, 630UHD 1.5gb VRAM integrated graphics, with high graphics settings on average. Other than what the previous review stated my only complaint is that the default external spot view has the plane zoomed out really really far. Of course you can zoom in but it does so with an unnatural view aspect of the plane. I’ve found the only way to correct this is to intentionally crash the plane into a building while in spot cam view before doing anything else after starting a new flight. The plane then reloads with the expected correct spot view just don’t hit cntl & space in spot or chase camera views or it’ll reset the plane back to being a tiny little bird in the distance, but zooming in or out is ok. Put that aside and I love this plane. Beautiful aircraft inside and out that is highly detailed. The cabin view is great too. The mixture levers have no apparent influence on flight at any altitude whatsoever. No I don’t have auto mixture on, I use full realism across the board with no “auto” anything enabled. All of the lighting looks really great and well this is a Carenado product so you get quality as expected. The flight model is fantastic. I just wish it came with some way to choose either all passenger or freight types rather than just a default split passenger/freight interior. Some real world airline liveries would’ve been nice as well. The liveries that are included are good but not very inspired. At any rate I got it on sale and am happy.

first of all, i have purchased the 360 before the 330. The 360 is very good in all aspects, but i prefer the tail configuration of the 330. I was concerned about FPS because of no LIGHT-Version as is was available for the 360, but no problem at all. Textures, Sound are top notch, the FDE reasonable, slightly better then the 360. The virtual cabin ist great. Overall a great package. It would not be Carenado, if a little blunder spoils the joy. The lower cuff of the yoke is somehow mis-alligned, so there is a hole in the cockpit floor where you can see the ground.

Ich hatte mich nach vielen Enttäuschungen lange an kein Carenado-Flugzeug mehr rangetraut. Bei der Shorts machte ich eine Ausnahme, unter bestimmten Bedingungen, die ich an Carenado-Flugzeuge gestellt hatte: Kein FMC! Keine Druckkabine! Kein (eigentlich) komplexer Autopilot! Keine APU! Funktionierender oder wenigstens kontrollierbar "Basic Autopilot" und ein vernünftig lesbares integriertes GTN (extern)! Funktionierender Engine-Start (mit Feather-Funktion und ohne Vollgas beim Start)! Nicht zu teuer! Da die Shorts 330 all diese Eigenschaften mehr oder weniger erfüllte, habe ich beim Sale mal zugeschlagen. Ich kann sagen, dass ich zumindest mal nicht enttäuscht bin. Angenehm überrascht wäre übertrieben, aber einfachere Flüge mit der Shorts machen wirklich mal Spaß. Die positiven Punkte: - Das Zusammenspiel zwischen Autopilot und GTN funktioniert (NAV-Funktion). - Die IAS-Climb-Funktion des Autopiloten funktioniert zumindest mal beim Steigflug, und die VS-Funktion ist zumindest kontrolliert bedienbar - wenn auch nicht ganz im Sinne des Erfinders. - Auch andere Systeme, die bei vielen Carenado-Flugzeugen fehlerhaft waren, funktionieren jetzt endlich, z.B. das Verstellen der ADF-Frequenz. - Die Shorts lässt sich am Boden wie in der Luft angenehm steuern. Zwar gibt es keine echte Beta-Range, aber es wurde gut umgangen. - Der Sound ist zwar bei Weitem noch nicht perfekt, aber er ist im Vergleich zu vorherigen Turboprop-Modellen von Carenado besser geworden, weil er nun direkter klingt und nicht mehr so subtil wie zuvor. - Sie sieht wie so oft verdammt gut aus - außen wie innen. Die negativen Punkte: - Der Autopilot - wenn auch basic - funktioniert eben doch nicht ganz richtig und ist teilweise umständlich zu bedienen (v.a. im Descend). - Die Höhe für den Autopilot lässt sich nur in 1000er-Schritten verstellen (!) - nicht gut! - Im Overhead-Panel kann man zwar sämtliche Schalter auf "External" schalten, ist aber alles nur dummy - auch kein external Power verfügbar. Das wäre denk ich nicht allzu schwer gewesen.. - Die Kabine gibt's ausschließlich gemischt mit Pax/Cargo und Cargo ist visuell IMMER geladen. Stört zwar beim Fliegen nicht, aber bei Flugzeugen, deren Preis sich zu 90% aus dem Visuellen definiert und zu 10% aus Systemen, wäre das wünschenswert gewesen. - Kein Load Manager oder dergleichen. - Vielleicht das größte Manko: Schlechte Dokumentation! Es gibt zwar seitenweise "Procedures", die aber aufgrund der fehlenden Systemtiefe nicht im Geringsten anwendbar sind. Es gibt auch seitenweise Power-Settings für den Reiseflug - auch damit lässt sich hier im Sim wenig anfangen. Aber keine einziger Hinweis auf die V-speeds! Auch im Netz findet man keine Spur von Takeoff-Speeds, die halbwegs gewichtsabhängig verwendbar wären. Das mit den Dokus wirkt deswegen etwas wie dahingeklatscht, was man eben hatte, aber nicht durchdacht - schade, zumal letzteres in der (im Sim) fast "baugleichen" Shorts 360 von Carenado vorhanden ist. Alles in allem ein vernünftiges Flugzeug und eines der wenigen in der Carenado-Reihe, die ich unter Vorbehalten wirklich empfehlen kann, wenn man die Shorts mag. Ich finde den Standard-Preis jedoch immer noch zu hoch - zumal wirklich sehr vieles aus der vorher erschienenen Shorts 360 1:1 kopiert scheint, dann aber wieder der volle Preis fällig wird. Zum reduzierten Sale-Preis fand ich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis dann OK.
