Round Robin Adventures
We are flying a charter for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League. This is a common and regular flight for the team as they will play a game against the Boston Bruins one evening and fly to New York the next day to play the New York Rangers and then proceed back home on a night charter after the game in New York.

Greetings, and welcome to the March 2007 edition of Computer Pilot Magazine.
In this issue we had to postpone a couple of the planned articles as we could not get them together in time to make the deadline. Luckily we have some great replacement articles on offer, including an ILS flight into Melbourne International, and an article on an interesting X-Plane project looking at the P06D aircraft. “What P06D aircraft?” you say… Flip to the article and check it out. Interesting stuff indeed!
On another note, I’ve been using the Google Earth™ software recently to help with my virtual flying. How so? Well, when you fly into a new region, or make an approach for the first time into a new airport, it is difficult to guess what you might expect. Sure you can check the charts and fly the published approaches and be relatively “safe” but by having a chance to visually inspect the region or immediate approach areas prior to flying it really helps to visualize the approach in your mind. Google Earth is the perfect tool for such a job. Simply zoom to your intended destination, and then tilt the image to discover a 3D world complete with high resolution images! The perfect tool to help your mind visualize your next approach. Best of all, the basic software is totally free. You can grab it at http://earth.google.com/
My approaches and landings, especially visual, non-instrument ones into unfamiliar airports have improved dramatically since using this flight “planning” method. Try it for yourself!
