Anapa

Anapa is a resort town in the south of Russia, located in the Krasnodar Territory, near the Black Sea coast. The city of regional subordination and the administrative center of the municipal formation "Resort City of Anapa". Climatic and balneological resort, mainly for children. such cities as Novorossiysk, Temryuk and Anapa, respectively. The capacity is 400 people per hour.
In 2004, Gelendzhik Airport was closed for reconstruction, during which a new runway was built with a length of 2500 m and a width of 45 m.
In 2017, the grand opening of the new domestic terminal was held. The new terminal is a one-story building with an area of 11,800 square meters, with a capacity of 600
passengers per hour.
In the rating of airports in terms of passenger traffic growth, it occupies the 5th place and is among the top 20 leading air terminals of the Russian Federation.
The first regular flights to Anapa were operated long before the airport appeared here – in 1934. These were flights to Krasnodar (Pashkovsky).
The first airfield was equipped here in 1960. And in 1965, the first airport complex was built. Now this building is given over to the needs of the city ambulance station, but in the 60s flights were operated from here to many cities of the USSR: Moscow, Kerch, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sukhumi, etc.
