Polish Airports vol.1 is a package of highly detailed sceneries of EPGD Gdańsk, EPKT Katowice, EPRZ Rzeszów (including EPRJ) and EPLB Lublin (including EPSW) airports in Poland.

    A I  R P O R T S

Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (Polish: Port Lotniczy Gdańsk im. Lecha Wałęsy, formerly Gdańsk-Rębiechowo) (IATA: GDN, ICAO: EPGD) is an international airport located 12 km (7.5 mi) west northwest of Gdańsk, Poland, not far from the city centres of the Tricity metropolitan area: Gdańsk (12 km (7.5 mi)), Sopot (10 km (6.2 mi)) and Gdynia (23 km (14 mi)). The airport is named after Lech Wałęsa, the former Polish president. On the outside wall of the terminal building one can see the logo of the airport, which is Lech Wałęsa's actual signature, a stylized "W". Today, Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport is a part of the national, international and global transportation network. Being the third largest airport in Poland, after EPWA and EPKK, it is used as a diversionary airport for Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport in the event of poor weather or emergencies.

Katowice International Airport (Polish: Międzynarodowy Port Lotniczy Katowice-Pyrzowice) (IATA: KTW, ICAO: EPKT) is an international airport, located in Pyrzowice, 30 km (19 mi) north northwest of Katowice, Poland. It has third biggest passenger flow in Poland. The airport features two passenger terminals A and B and a cargo terminal. Operations at terminal B, much bigger than A, started on 30 July 2007. Terminals are capable of handling about 3.6 million passengers annually. Terminal A handles all non-Schengen flights, while Terminal B handles all Schengen flights. Its concrete runway can accommodate aircraft as large as Boeing 747 or Boeing 777. Heavy transports such as Antonov An-124 or An-225 also land there from time to time.

Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport (IATA: RZE, ICAO: EPRZ) is an international airport located in southeastern Poland, in Jasionka, a village 10 km (6.2 mi) from the center of the city of Rzeszów. It is the seventh-busiest airport in Poland, and has seasonal transatlantic connections. Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport, situated 7.8 km (4.8 mi) north of Rzeszów, features the second-longest runway in Poland: 3,200 m × 45 m (10,499 ft × 148 ft). The new passenger terminal opened in May, 2012. Rzeszów Jasionka Airport EPRZ is located next to a smaller Rzeszów Jasionka Airport (ICAO: EPRJ), owned by Rzeszów University of Technology and used by Rzeszów Aeroclub. It features a 900x30m lightened asphalt runway (090/270), 700x100m grass strip and a few hangars. EPRJ is technically a different airport than EPRZ, although separated by the airport fence only.

Lublin Airport (Port Lotniczy Lublin) (IATA: LUZ, ICAO: EPLB) is an airport in Poland serving Lublin and the surrounding region. The site is located about 10 km (6.2 miles) east of downtown Lublin, adjacent to the town of Świdnik. The airport has a 2520 x (45 + 2 x 7,5) m runway, and the terminal facilities are capable of handling 4 Boeing 737-800 class aircraft simultaneously. Construction began in the fall of 2010 and the official opening took place on December 17, 2012. The new airport replaced the grass airstrip (1200 x 50 m) which served the PZL-Świdnik helicopter factory and was known as Świdnik Airport (ICAO: EPSW).

A demo of this product is provided. This is a fully functional freeware scenery, perfectly aligned with the full payware version. This ensures no problems with online (VATSIM, IVAO and multiplayer) flying in case some users have the payware scenery and some don't. The demo features simplified airports with main buildings but with low resolution textures, non-animated jetways and generally much less details. Demo sceneries are available on our website and on other websites with FS freeware add-ons.

What a great deal such a nice airport for free (even 4!). Advice: if you have a SODE problem (with v4.60) make sure to install a fix (a small hick-up with this free offer): go to their forum and type "SODE EPGD" in the search box and look for: SODE VGDS compatibility file - experimental (for EPGD) https://www.dropbox.com/s/8ycju17t7yoye ... X.sdx?dl=1 The file goes to C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\sdx\DrzewieckiDesign . Many thanks to DrzewieckiDesign for their high quality airports!

I agree with the other reviewers. This set of airports from Drezwiecki Design are superb. They look, feel are work beutifully in P3D v.4 with no impact to framerates.

A very nice airport package for a great price. Airports are very nicely done and the developer updates them regularly. I like the fact that large areas around airports are modeled, including some significant terrain features (and landmarks). Winter and night textures are good too. Building models are very good and ground markings very detailed. Frankly, each of these airports could have been a good separate product and in one package they are a great deal.

I bought this package as soon as it was published. This is an improvement of V3, not completely new package, so the special upgrade price sounds good for me. Firstly I must say that the fps are on a great level - my PC is not a demon of performance, but deals with all sceneries from the package very well. Maybe some buildings and photoground textures can be improved, but for me the most important thing is the smoothness and efficiency, which are better than good in this case. The new runway / taxiway lighting in P3D looks really cool - good brightness, good size, even "running rabbit" is in place ;) In addition I noticed many nice animations: jetways, hangar doors, car traffic, train, even guy doing photos in Lublin. Ok, I see some „childhood diseases” (GSX, AFCAD, etc.), but this is not my first scenery of this developer, so I’m sure that all hitherto-exisiting problems will be solved according to our suggestions soon.

Since I fly a lot in Poland, mainly using Warsaw, Cracow, Katowice and Gdansk, this package is very important to me. And often high expectations are not met by reality. Generally I am disappointed with the fourth version of PAv1. I was waiting for it for a long time. My main reservations involved the low quality terminal buildings at EPKT as well as low quality surrounding photo terrain, and I hoped for solid 2016-like improvements. Unfortunately after I bought the upgrade I discovered no real changes in these areas. The EPKT terminal textures still look at most FS2004-like and the photoreal ground textures around EPKT and EPGD are very low quality, taken directly from a source without even good photoshop cleaning (cars on the roads, parking lots, shadows, etc). I don't expect whole cities to be made (by the way, with all respect, why build the Rzeszow city instead of Gdansk or Katowice?), but at least some essential landmarks around the airports would be welcome. I assumed there would be the PKM railway which goes directly in front of the airport and is the main visual object outside the Gdansk aerodrome. But there is no sign of it, not even static. What is more, there are some serious AFCAD/GSX problems at the airports. Of course they can be overcome by users themselves, but still, it would be nice to see payware airports in perfect compatibility with an addon as popular as GSX. I also miss any (almost standard now) setup panel for choosing which elements you want installed (which static aircraft, ground equipment, airstairs, cars, people, etc). To summarize, the upgrade cost me only 12 euro, plus I admit the package contains a few airports, which seem a good value for the money. But it could be so much better with a bit more labour of love we are used to with some other top developers.
