(IATA: RDU, ICAO: KRDU, FAA LID: RDU), locally known by its IATA code RDU, is the main airport serving Raleigh, Durham, and the surrounding Research Triangle region of North Carolina.
It is located in unincorporated Wake County, but is surrounded by the City of Raleigh to the North and East, and the towns of Cary and Morrisville to the South. The airport covers 5,000 acres (2,000 ha; 20 km2) and has three runways.
KRDU v2.0.0
Improved performance. Reduced poly count on terminal and introduced LODs that were causing crashes for some.
Fixed elevation issues regarding buildings not placed on the ground
Fixed broken jetway issues. All jetways have been repositioned.
Excluded new photogrammetry areas within the airport boundary
This scenery needs to be updated majorly. As a former airline employee at KRDU this does not make me feel there at all. "The back yard" is too small, entrance to baggage and canopy to go under between the back yard and front of term 2 is nit there. the ground traffic roadway is too large making gates really short. All gate positions need to be reconsidered. The RON parking is not there on both sides of Terminal 2. Terminal 1 does not at all resemble at the work they did to upgrade. They are building a new runway next to 05L/23R which will the new 05L/23r. There are people walking around in circles in common clothing which does not make sense. Although I could complain about the modeled building for term2 I can actually deal with it. But what kills the immersion for me are the items described above. I am happy I can taxi without destroying the my aircraft with all the bumps from the default scenery.
