First flown in the 1960s, this rugged and versatile twin-engined aircraft has been in continuous service ever since as airliner, cargo transport and light utility with police and armed forces around the world.

No wonder this British marvel has become one of Europe's best selling commercial aircraft!

Two engines... Nine passengers... One pilot!

The BN-2 Islander is a British light utility aircraft, mainline airliner and cargo aircraft designed and originally manufactured by Britten-Norman of the United Kingdom. The Islander is one of the best-selling commercial aircraft types produced in Europe and although designed in the 1960s, over 750 are still in service with some 50 commercial operators around the world. The aircraft is also used by the Army and Police forces in the United Kingdom and is a popular light transport with over 30 military aviation operators.

The Islander's simple and rugged manufacture makes for daily operation in and out of rough grass and unprepared strips - as short as 300m - in all-weathers. Indeed, its twin-engined reliability, 30kts cross-wind limit and IFR cockpit fitment has seen the Islander operate the only regular daily transport in the Scottish Western Isles in weather that even has the local sheep running for cover.

Developed over two years with the help of real-world Islander pilots and operators, this exciting simulated version is a full-featured FSX release, including technologies such as cockpit self-shadowing, HDR bloom effects, and bump mapping and DX10 compatible external and internal visuals.

Whether you want to operate simulated inter-island transport, feeder airliner flights or just simply have fun in this all-purpose aircraft, the Islander is certain to put a smile on your face.

Short field performance - Big on features

Over the years, the BN-2 has spawned many variants with an almost endless combination of engine and cockpit fitments.

This BN-2 simulation is extensively based a real world example with assistance from Great Barrier X-Press Airlines, Auckland, New Zealand - fitted with 2x Lycoming O-540 260hp engines.

We've included two exterior model variants for both early and late nose profile (BN-2A and BN-2B) Islanders, with related lighting accessories - all beautifully represented with a total of 13 paint-schemes:

It is good airport product at this price. It has everything there. But it is not amazing.
AEROSOFT - MEGA AIRPORT MADRID EVOLUTION FSX
Timo Forsberg
If you like me like the big Airports this is full with just about everything and beatifully done. The config tool have a lot of options.A bit Heavy on vas but managable on my FSX:SE with Steves dx10 fixer and a bunch of other addons and fps are better than on the old version despite it's huge size. A new favourite.

Looking good so far. I like the sky colors. Hopefully there will be some updates in the future.
MILVIZ - NORTH AMERICAN F-86 SABRE FSX P3D
Ian Scott
If you want a simple, easy-to-fly model that looks like the legendary F-86 Sabre without any of its quirks, challenges or downright scariness, then this is not the product you are looking for. If you are looking for a superb rendition of a pioneering jet that will challenge your technical as well as your flying skills, then this is an amazing choice. Once you master the relatively simple but still challenging systems and you learn to treat it with respect and fly it appropriately, you will get an enormous sense of achievement. My awe of the pilots who flew it in combat against the Mig15 in Korea has increased enormously since I got this product and came to realize that simply flying it, even without fighting in it, pushed my skills to their limit. The detail is incredible, including a canopy that will very quickly frost up if you don't use the heater correctly. And once it's frozen, it isn't going to clear up right away if you belatedly turn on the defroster - you are in for some serious instrument flying for quite a long time before you can see outside. Those of us who have been in the hobby for some time will remember with gratitude the magnificent freeware Section8 F-86 from FS2004 days. This will bring back those memories and add new twists and challenges. A first-rate product from a company that can be relied on to "get it right."
JUSTFLIGHT - DUNKIRK SPITFIRE FSX P3D
Ian Scott
This is a stunningly realistic replica of what is arguably one the world's most recognizable and respected aircraft in history. It looks, sounds and flies just the way you expect it to. I have read countless books and watched numerous documentaries about the Spitfire and even had the opportunity to sit in a MKV. I also have (and love) the RAS rendition of the MKXIV and IX. Just Flight's version is everything you can wish for. It is a joy to fly. If you are a stick and rudder pilot who values superb performance and flying for the simple joy of it, you will love this product. But if you are in doubt then you don't have to take my word for it - download and try to fully functional free demonstrator.
JETSTREAM DESIGNS - PARIS ORLY LFPO P3DV4
Morten Seedorff
I Agree fully with Robert Shofner. Much wonderful detail here, but way too low fps - disregard version 1.0 or 1.1. Lack of intelligent priority here. Besides, light from light poles are totally missing.
GAFFER SIMULATIONS - OR TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT P3D4 - JOHANNESBURG
Danny Moore
You get what you pay for. Don't expect it to be up there with the big league versions. The ramp, the night lighting and Sode Jetways is nice but the terminal, FSX looking grass, and surrounding area look like no effort was put into it. It's better than default if you need FAOR.
FSPS - P3DV4 BOOSTER LIVE 2018
Greg Gordon
Using this when in those very "busy", scenery intensive areas and I'm getting about 4 - 6 fps improvement. Like Oliver however, I cannot say I actually perceive an improvement in the scenery rendering quality when you "slow" the frame rate down? Maybe it's too subtle for me?
