The Messerschmitt Bf-109 was the standard fighter of the Luftwaffe for the duration of WWII. The Bf-109 scored more air-to-air victories in WWII than any other aircraft, and thanks to an excellent design, served in various roles, including air superiority fighter, escort fighter, interceptor, ground-attack and reconnaissance aircraft. The Bf 109 was produced in greater quantities than any other fighter aircraft in history, with over 31,000 built. Although the Bf 109 had weaknesses, including a difficult to handle narrow undercarriage, through constant development the aircraft managed to remain a competitive force against Allied fighter aircraft until the end of hostilities in May 1945.

The Bf-109 was flown by the three top scoring fighter aces of World War II : Erich Hartmann, the top scoring fighter ace of all time with 352 victories, Gerhard Barkhorn with 301 victories, and Günther Rall with 275 victories. Hartmann refused to fly any other type of aircraft in combat throughout the war.

Bf 109G "Gustav"
The G-series Bf-109 was developed when the 1,475 hp Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine became available. The early versions of the Bf 109G looked quite similar to the Bf 109F-4, and at first carried the same armament. The G-series later saw the appearance of the notorious bulges in the cowling caused by the DB605 and by replacing the 7.92 mm MG 17 with 13 mm MG 131 machine guns (G-5 onwards)) and on the wings (due to larger main gear wheels, G-4 onwards), leading to the Bf-109G's nickname "The Bulge" (German: "Die Beule").

The G-6 model was the most produced Bf-109G version. During 1943, a number of improvements were introduced: an armoured glass head-rest and the introduction of the clear-view 'Erla Haube' canopy improved visibility, especially to the rear, plus a taller tail unit improved stability at high speeds. Advanced radio/navigational equipment was also introduced.

Subsequent Bf-109G versions were basically modified versions of the G-6. Early in 1944, new engines with either larger superchargers for improved high-altitude performance (DB 605AS), or with MW-50 methanol-water injection for improved low/medium altitude performance (DB 605AM) (or these two features combined, in the DB 605ASM), were introduced into Bf-109G-6.

The G-14, appearing in mid-1944 was essentially a late-war Bf 109G-6 with the above improvements standardized.

The G-10 was not a uniform type, but consisted of all kinds of Bf-109Gs being transformed to Bf-109G-10 specifications (as well as completely new airframes), with the aim being to mininally distrupt production lines already producing the Gustav airframe. The G-10 actually appeared in service after the G-14 and even somewhat after the K-4, in November 1944. The G-10 was eventually produced in very substantial numbers, with some 2600 G-10s being produced by the war's end.

AS-engined G-6s,Bf-109G-14s and G-10s (along with the K-4) saw a refinement of the bulges covering the breeches of the cowl mounted MG 131, introducing a more streamlined form.

Requires a manual install into FSX.

Please note that the Bf-109G is a fairly demanding model, and is recommended for computers 3 Ghz and above, with dedicated graphics cards. However, those with less powerful computers (e.g.2.8 Ghz) have also run the 262 without serious problem.

Very good stick for a reasonable price. The only negative I can give is that it sometimes slides around my desk when I’m using it. The rubber feet could be better. But again, I cannot fault it’s operation. My landings have actually got better since using it.

Very nice work. Whilst Andrei is already on a very high level, he is getting even better from update to update. The overall impression of this scenery is very realistic. Especially the ground texturing of the taxiways and the aprons are outstanding and have a crisp and natural look. Also the reflections of the markings on the concrete look very natural. Andrei is using PBR where it makes sence and give this additional portion of realism. The night ilumination is also very realistic. I´am really looking forward to the V5 updates of LFMN and his other artworks, because the visual quality he delivers combined with the grade of high details and the performance is his trademark and worth every single penny.

I love the fact that for so many years this package is being kept up-to-date. There are not many countries with all airports having commercial high-quality sceneries and Poland is definitely on of them. Overland did a similar thing with Japanese airports back in FS2004 times and Aerosoft has German Airports (not sure if those packages are available for P3Dv5 though). Kudos to DD for keeping this series alive. I will be glad to support it in the future and I really enjoy the newest changes at the airports. Trains rulez! :)

Très belle scène. Les deux iles sont très bien réalisées. Avec un autogen bien calibré c'est un plaisir de voler dessus, celle-ci est magnifique. Assez peu d'impact en Fps (je vole sur le Jar a320 avec un ryzen 1300x). Je recommande cette scène !
