Once you have decided that a couple of monitors on the desk just doesn’t really feel like flying, the next level is to increase the simulation immersion so that it feels like you are actually in an aircraft.
It's time migrate away from the desktop system and into a fully enclosed life-sized cockpit shell.
This "kit" consists of highly detailed instructions (849 pages in all) to build your own shell enclosure out of pieces of wood.

Inside the E-Book, you'll find:

  • More than 800 Pages
  • More than 400 Photographs of the cockpit throughout the entire construction process.
  • More than 200 Construction diagrams
  • More than 500 Dimensioned Drawings
  • the E-Book also includes a voucher for 2 free hours of individual e-mail support as well as many articles on the a support website.
  • Version 2 contains extra PDF booklets to further help you build the enclosure.

What this book is:

  • This E-Book provides a Step-by-Step guide to building the cockpit enclosure for a flight simulator using many wood pieces cut according to clear drawings.
  • Although the cockpit is designed to fit into a room as small as 2,5m x 4m, it is based on the dimensions of the Cessna 172 and is 1:1 life-size.
  • The book is a construction manual. You will need to do quite a bit of woodwork, but it’s easy stuff - I have provided you with clear dimensioned drawings for every single part that needs to be cut.
  • The cockpit is designed to have the outside view displayed by 3x 24” monitors mounted at an angle of 120° to each other; and the virtual cockpit instruments’ display using a large 32” monitor below it. An optional 24”
  • monitor can be installed in each door for side external views. These physically extend past your shoulder.
  • While this E-Book is a generic blueprint, you will need to be prepared to make alterations in the design to fit the exact dimensions of your monitors (and whether they are removed from their bezels or not) and also to accommodate the simulator control hardware. In addition to unlimited use of the support website (https://davebritzius.com) and forum, every purchaser of this book is entitled to 2 private hours of my time to assist in this, absolutely free.
  • Since the entire structure is held together with screws and wood joints, (not glue) you will be able to dismantle and re-assemble the cockpit. It will, no doubt, require a new paint job and windscreen repairs each time you assemble it, though.

What this book is not:

  • The book does not include any computer hardware recommendations or flight simulation software instructions. I can, however, offer insights, support, configuration instructions even shopping lists etc.
  • This is not a project for projectors, only for monitors.
  • This is not a “full motion simulator” with hydraulic tilting. (Cost!). It is static.
  • This is not a weekend project - it will take you many hours to build this cockpit.

It has taken nearly three years (full-time) to create this e-book because I wanted to make absolutely sure that it was as easy as possible for you to quickly construct your own cockpit with the assurance that everything would fit properly. I first created the design using a 3D CAD program. I then figured out the best place to start and divided up the whole construction job into discreet “Steps”. I created the dimensioned drawings for each part of that step, and, using those drawings, I immediately cut the wooden pieces in my little home workshop. This is a very inefficient way to do it, but it ensures that every dimension that I required was there on the drawing and that no critical dimension had been left out.
Once the parts for a “Step” had been cut, I assembled them, and immediately created the assembly diagrams. After photographing the completed “Step”, the cycle began again for the next step...

Since the E-book was written side by side with the construction of the cockpit, you can be sure that it is error-free and absolutely possible for anyone who has a small amount of woodworking knowledge and is handy with basic tools.
I’m not a woodworker - what now? If you are not a woodworking master craftsman, that’s OK - you can mostly get away with cutting errors as large as a whole millimetre!.
If you are not a woodworking hobbyist at all, simply take all the dimensioned drawings to a professional wood-shop and they will cut them for you, or, to get it done even cheaper, locate an amateur woodworker in your neighbourhood who will cut the pieces for you over a period of time.

I also have many extra articles on my support website - https://davebritzius.com.

Kann mich nur anschliessen, gute Qualität mit sehr guter Performance zu einem guten Preis.

Finally after years of searching and waiting, a high quality scenery is released for my home city of Perth. I use both FS2004 & FSX and can confirm this is a great scenery. Anybody who flies into Perth will appreciate this scenery. MFSG have done a top job.

Well, a little bit of a letdown, really. First of all, when I place it on the ramp at the start of the simulation, it moves quickly with the engine off and I have to apply the brakes to bring it to a hold. In the air, it is very unstable, but probably this is how it is. I expected more from this reputable designer. Maybe a patch would be appropriate?

Amazing work Sir, Its Rare to see this level of quality in an African Field but youve really done this scenery justice. Thank you so much for your good work and looking forward to seeing more from you

In fact don't forget to use modern flight mode with this plane that refuse to fly with classical fly setup but flying honestly like real ULM in modern fly mode plane nicely build very accurate détails thanks at Nemeth for support customer

This airplane is utterly brilliant. Don't be intimidated - even its "RIP edition" (one of the three variants, with the most difficult controls) is not as impossible to fly as it sounds, and the more practical Gnome-engined version is even somewhat pleasant to operate for cross-country hops! However flying it is still a whole different ball game from what you might be used to - and it truly feels nothing like any of the stock airplanes in MSFS, or indeed any of the add-ons so far. This plane is a handful, and has virtually no safety margins built into it - or instruments for that matter. It's just you and the unkind forces of nature... Visually it's pretty nice. There are some glitches I've noticed when using external camera (wing warping controls cause the wings to do something they shouldn't be able to!) which I'm sure will be quickly fixed up and doesn't detract from the experience. Flying it from the cockpit is extremely enjoyable - surprisingly, this actually actually offers a near-unobstruct-
ed view in most directions, since there's very little airplane to speak of between you and the sim world (just a sparse wooden frame and a pair of warping canvas wings). Doing anything in this airplane feels like an accomplishment unto itself, so even short flights are very rewarding. Yes, you will be fighting seemingly unstoppable oscillations during flight with near-inadequate controls - but that is exactly the correct behaviour. Flying a straight line for even a few seconds is a real feat for this one. In short - if you love early aviation, or just want something really different in your sim - I think this Bleriot is a must-have!

Nice model but something is wrong with the weight calculation. With the normal weights it's for me total unstable to fly. After reducing the weight of the pilot to 8 lbs ;) the aircraft flies stable and is also easy to control. So it’s fun to fly. An own pilot model would be nice. And a revision of the motor sound and the brake noise would be great. At the moment i giving the aerolite 3 stars.

Another very nice airport by the developer. Nice gates, textures are crisp and clean, terminal is alive. Nice job!
