Sisteron - Vaumeilh aerodrome (formerly Sisteron-Thèze aerodrome1) (ICAO code: LFNS) is an aerodrome in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department.
Located in the town of Vaumeilh, on the banks of the Durance, it has an unpaved track, and has no luminous markings. It can be used by aircraft,
gliders, helicopters, microlights.
The Sisteron-Vaumeilh aerodrome is an internationally renowned gliding centre. More than 13,000 hours of glider flight were performed there in 2015.
Activity is particularly strong from March to October.
The aerodrome of Sisteron-Vaumeilh hosted the world final of the Glider Grand Prix (SGP) organized by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale from May 8 to 16, 2014.
The title of world champion of the 5th SGP was disputed there. On the podium: Didier Hauss, FRA (1st), Sebastian Kawa, POL (2nd), Uli Schwenk, GER (3rd).
Situation
The aerodrome is located in the commune of Vaumeilh, 10 km north of Sisteron and in the eastern part of the Durance valley.

The Sisteron-Vaumeilh aerodrome is part of list no. 3 (aerodromes approved for restricted use) of the aerodromes authorized on December 31, 2014. It is "reserved for gliding aircraft,
skydiving and service. Usable by helicopters under the conditions defined by the South-East Civil Aviation Safety Director."2.
The use of the aerodrome can be extended by NOTAM to aircraft using the services of companies located on the edge of the aerodrome.
It is reserved for aircraft equipped with a radio. Contact is mandatory on the 120.05 frequency.
Specific procedures and instructions for use are published on the VAC card for periods of high gliding activity.
Infrastructure
The aerodrome has an unpaved runway (oriented 17/35 (QFU 174/354) 950 m long by 80 m wide, part of which is 700 m long by 10 m wide and is paved3.
The aerodrome has no lighting and is therefore not approved for night VFR or IFR.
There are no customs, no police, no SSLIA (Rescue and Aeronautical Fire Fighting Service on aerodromes).
There is no control service.
The aerodrome manager has been the Syndicat Intercommunal d'Aménagement et de Gestion (SIAG) of the aerodrome of Sisteron-Vaumeilh since 20044.
The aerodrome operator is the Aéro-Club International de Sisteron (ACIS)
A campsite [archive] and a restaurant, the Zinc are located on the aerodrome.
Attachment to the Civil Aviation Services
Sisteron-Vaumeilh is an aerodrome which depends on the aeronautical district of Provence and does not have the services of the DGAC. For aeronautical information,
preparing flights and filing flight plans, it is attached to the BRIA (Regional Aeronautical Information Office) at Marseille Provence Airport.
For the monitoring of VFR flights with flight plan and for the alert service, the aerodrome depends on the telecommunications and flight information office (BTIV)
from the South-East Air Navigation Route Center of Aix-en-Provence.

Three Rivers Aeroclub (AC3R) for ULM.
Avec cette scène, la simulation n'est plus très loin du réel. Une multitudes d'objets et de détails, font de cette scène une réussite digne des grands créateurs d'addons.
Quant à son prix, ce n'est vraiment rien en comparaison de l'énorme qualité que l'on a sur l'écran !
