KTYS McGhee Tyson Airport (IATA: TYS, ICAO: KTYS, FAA LID: TYS) is a public and military airport 12 miles south of Knoxville,in Alcoa, Blount County, Tennessee, United States.
It is named for United States Navy pilot Charles McGhee Tyson, lost on patrol in World War I.

Owned by the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority,it sees several major airlines and connection carriers.

Decent representation of KTYS, certainly much better than the default. Static aircraft, including national guard planes, sprinkled about help with immersion. It seems a bit heavy on the frames, more than I'd expect for the size and modest complexity of the airport. It has the recently reopened 5L/23R but no ILS for it (as far as I can tell...). I bought it on sale and at that price I'd say it was worth it.

Very well done. Has the new longer runway (10000 feet that was completed in December). Good details. Very pleased with the scenery and thankful to have my home airport in the sim now
