Welcome to Memphis — the cargo capital of the world, home of the FedEx Superhub.
We present the enhanced version of KMEM Memphis International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, upgraded from the original MSFS2020 release and reworked to take full advantage of the new simulator’s capabilities.
This updated edition features improved lighting and materials aligned with MSFS 2024 SDK standards, completely reworked ground textures, dynamic floodlights with accurate color temperature, and refined terminal and ramp lighting that match real-world conditions.
All objects across the scenery now include LODs for maximum performance and stability, ensuring smooth FPS on both PC and Xbox. Jetway models have been improved with higher fidelity and smoother animation, while overall performance has been fully optimized.
About the Airport
Located seven miles (11 km) southeast of Downtown Memphis, KMEM covers over 3,900 acres and features four runways. It serves as the global hub for FedEx Express, handling hundreds of flights each night to destinations across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
From 1993 to 2009, Memphis held the title of the world’s busiest cargo airport and remains the largest cargo hub in the Western Hemisphere. In addition to its extensive cargo operations, KMEM supports over 80 daily passenger flights and is home to the 164th Airlift Wing of the Tennessee Air National Guard, which operates the C-17 Globemaster III.
