Frankfurt am Main Airport, (IATA: FRA; ICAO: EDDF) is known in Germany as Flughafen Frankfurt am Main. It is considered one of the most important airports in Germany, third in Europe and the ninth largest in the world. It is one of the most important centers of world air transport.
Since 2012, Frankfurt Airport has served the most international destinations in the world, with a total of 275 destinations in 111 countries. The south side of the airport grounds was formerly home to Rhein-Main Air Force Base, which was the most important air base in the United States from 1947 until 2005.
The Lights have been added to increase the realism of the simulator. They are visible at great distances and over a wide area of the airport.
