This soundpack is fully compatible with both Prepar3d v3 & v4!
All sounds included in this product are recorded in the real airplane, and were carefully processed to provide an authentic flight deck environment. Our goal was simple - to develop a soundpack that will mimic the sound environment we experienced on a real flight deck, hence we spent most of the time working exactly on that area.
Additionally we received extensive feedback from real Q400 pilots and other relevant people that spent a lot of time on the jump seat, thus we believe that we achieved new level of sound realism using Majestic's truly fantastic add-on.
* The soundpack will replace all default sounds, except announcements and music. *

Very realistic audio for the Q400. You really have a better feel for the noise and vibrations generated by the powerful PW150A! Worth the money and very happy I purchased the immersion pack.
I can absolutely recommend this sound pack. Also, I do not experience that oscillation sound problem on the exterior view that was mentioned by another user.
The interior sounds, especially the switches are spot on and make the Q400 even more enjoyable to fly.
I flew in this plane (Dash 8) years ago; LIAT, which flew all over the Caribbean. The new sounds add more depth of realism. One thing I did was change some of the dynamic sounds from my backups (which was stated in previous reviews) back to the original. IMO a few of the sounds from the original Q400 sound better or what I liked. The new APU, generator, engines and cabin sounds have better clarity from stock. I hope they do more products for add-ons.
Great job by Immersive Audio. The new sounds are great, some of them are redundant like the condition levers which sounds like a normal click of any other bottom of the overhead panel. Fortunately is easy to replace the sounds you don't like with the default ones if you make a backup of the originals which is recommended in the manual before installation. The engines sound a lot better, specially reverse thrust, also the warning alarms and the GPWS are crystal clear. The GPU unit sounds like real life, I work for a GA airline and those sounds seems authentic. Its definitely a good improvement on the default sounds and the best like I said is that you can combine the default ones with the Immerse Audio if you don't like some of them.
Firstly it must be said that it's something new to all of us - fans of DH8D by MJC. For sure such "little" change adds some new impulse. All new sounds are very well audible, even more than default ones. Almost all of them are new and give us new immersion indeed. I'm not able to say if they are much better or much more real - probably how many people are, the similar large number of opinions will be. But I'm not going back to the default sounds - and this is my recommendation for this product. Great job!
Absolutely first class! The cockpit sounds were never the strong point of the Majestic Q400 and this addon absolutely transforms them. Engine sounds too! An true bargain and a MUST have for the Q400.
Well well once I started the Q400 the first impressions were good. The further I went down the road of the flight my impressions got worse and worse though. There is a very strong oscillating sound (like a pulse) noticeable at certain throttle positions which are highly annoying to say the least.
I understand this can happen when you record audio from a real plane but this should have been corrected before releasing it for an FS addon.
Potential is there though so maybe the dev removes the oscillation. That would make it awesome since the sounds themselves are very good.
