The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is an American family of single-seat, single-engine, all-weather stealth multirole combat aircraft that is intended to perform both air superiority and strike missions.
It is also able to provide electronic warfare and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities.
The aircraft has three main variants: the conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL) F-35A, the short take-off and vertical-landing (STOVL) F-35B, and the carrier-based (CV/CATOBAR) F-35C.
Key features of this rendition for Microsoft Flight Simulator are:
- Detailed representation of the three variants of the aircraft, showcasing individual differences and commonalities.
- Detailed external visual model and cockpit, based on extensive research
- Realistic pilot interface through the Primary Control Display (PCD) based on real world simulators
- Liveries for all the air forces and services that are currently flying the F-35
- Realistic flight dynamics based on publicly available data
- STOVL capabilities for the F-35B
- Carrier capabilities for the F-35C (special code to perform assisted takeoff and landing from any static surface)
- Sound package based on real world recordings
NOTE:
The package only depicts the Vehicle Systems and some essential Mission Systems.
The following mission systems are NOT simulated:
- RADAR
- DAS
- EOTS/TFLIR
- RWR
- Sensor fusion

Easy to Fly - No Problems - ... Quick and very Versatile
Its got to be my FAVOURITE Aircraft on MSFS
It works really well in VR using a mouse and Hotas. It is nice to fly stable yet agile and very fast. The flight systems touch screen and other controls I find intuitive and easy to use and learn.
I have given it 4 stars because there are a few things on my wish list which would make it perfect in my opinion. But I do not know if they are features in the IRL jet so I guess I will be happy with realism over some personal preferances.
But the features I would like to see.
1. A scalable moving map.
2. Flap indicators so you can see what position they are in.
3. A virtual screen(not sure of the proper name)but a virtual representation of the terrain for bad weather flying.
4. The ability to switch between auto trimming and manual.
And there seems to be a few bugs or maybe I am just doing some thing's wrong, but in Auto pilot I can not seem to set the speed, but I have no issues with setting altitude, heading or following the pre planned flight plan.
Also if I try to use the MSFS's moving map overlay it sends the autopilot crazy, not sure if this is a issue with the F35 or with MSFS itself.
Best regards,
Michael
Module comes with a full guide that gives you many details from installation to operation.
Exterrior looks great, interrior cabin design textures are pretty good. Display functionality is a big job, really impressed the interactivity.
CTD is an issue with a config as others said but it was solved easily by:
1. Working under DX11
2. Clearing my disk space (low disk space normally cause CTD for me to any module)
3. Adding more virtual memory for Windows (64GB in my case)
4. Clearing up a rolling cache (do not forget to re-enable it after that)
All the tips are available on Indiafoxtecho website.
Since that time no crashes.
There was an issue for a throttle also as it was configured improperly on my side. I previously used one axe on my controller for all engines. It should be configured separately for each engine. If you have the same problem look here:

Thanks to the devs again and hope to see it at MSFS store asap.
que FAVRE. Impossible de paramétrer mon HOTAS pour la manette des gaz.....
For CTD play on directX11 and not on 12.
Remove all outdated mods in Community folder.
For me he fly fine with that
Would like to see in the future:
- Updated sounds
- Functioning Auto-trim
- Auto pilot that maintains heading (currently rolls back and forth to try to maintain the line)
- Functioning auto throttle (setting target speed in the AP menu currently does nothing)
- Radar AA tracking like the Super Warrior mod has (for fun, not really needed)
- an ability to enter flight plans (waypoints) within the plane
- more accurate flight path marker on the HUD.
- Graphics nice
CONTRA:
- flightmodel needs work
That was because of my mistakes. I have 4 throttle and I had to turn off a couple of them.
The plane is easy to learn when you know it from P3D.
Attention no LHD America provided, no aircraft carrier.
The cold and dark does not work with me, and it lacks an explanation on this subject in the manual.
Is it possible to have the Patuxent River ski jump?
Otherwise great work!
Look and feel of the plane is perfect, its a joy to fly, regardless if you use it as "normal" plane to takeoff/land or if you use the STOL of the F-35B or its Hover mode - it feel right and is alot of fun to fly.
You get the F35A, B and C Variant, all with some different modes (B with STOL, C with carrier hock/launchbar) - you can also mount different weapon loadouts to the plane as you wish - I love the animations, and also the fact that you can open the bomb bay and see inside.
I had zero issues and no crashes - I tried the Plan in VR and normal mode, both work perfectly for me
In short, for the price this plane is a steal and a must have for anyone interested in modern fighter jets
