In this simulation we have captured the Spitfire as it was in perhaps the most important phase of its development - the early years of WWII. We begin with the Prototype as it was rolled out of the factory and first flown at Eastleigh in 1936, and end with the Mk1A ‘standard’ production Spitfire which fought alongside that other venerable fighter, the Hawker Hurricane, in the Battle of Britain.

The supplied paint schemes include a number of aircraft flown by the ‘aces’ of the Battles of France and Britain and the flight dynamics of this simulation have been specially programmed to allow you to fly ‘by the book’, so go ahead and try your skill at ‘matching the numbers’ achieved by ‘Mutt’ Summers and Jeffrey Quill in the prototype, or test your nerve on an endurance run over the fields of France and back in your Mk1A!

Custom built exclusively for Just Flight, with an incredibly detailed and ultra-high quality cockpit, exacting flight dynamics and realistic Merlin engine sounds, this is the ultimate Spitfire package for FSX!

All the aircraft from this Spitfire add-on are also available in the Battle of Britain 70th Anniversary package (Download and Boxed) which also includes our Hurricane and Me 109 add-ons.

Included aircraft

Prototype K5054 -first flew on March 5, 1936. The airframe was finished in primer paint of varying colour density and the engine panels were left in bare aluminium alloy. The aircraft lacked radio equipment and carried the bare necessities for testing. Captain 'Mutt' Summers was at the controls.

Prototype K5054 - as seen at Hendon Air Pageant in the new types park, 1936. Wheel spats had been added to the oleo struts and covered the entire well with smaller folding spats at their ends.

19 Squadron Mk1 K9795 with two-blade, fixed-pitch Watts wooden propeller and flat perspex canopy. Also, note the 'ring and bead' gunsight and early aerial. This was the first production Spitfire to be delivered to the RAF for operational use.

19 Squadron Mk1 QV-W K9854 with two-blade propeller, flown by Flt.Lt. Wilfred Clouston, October 1939.

65 Squadron Mk1 FZ-L K9906 with two-blade propeller, flown by Flt. Lt. Robert 'Bob' Stanford Tuck, Hornchurch, August 1939. Stanford Tuck became the first Spitfire ace over Dunkirk in May 1940.

74 Squadron Mk1 ZP-A with two-blade propeller, flown by Flt. Lt. Adolf 'Sailor' Malan, Hornchurch, May/June 1940. It was in this aircraft that Malan eventually became an ace in several remarkable exploits. The machine was eventually destroyed in a crash in 1943.

19 Squadron Mk1A QV-H P9546 flown by George 'Grumpy' Unwin.

19 Squadron Mk1A QV-K P9386 flown by Squadron Leader Brian Lane, Fowlmere 1940.

54 Squadron Mk1A KL-B P9398 flown by Squadron Leader Al Deere, Rochford 1940.

222 Squadron Mk1A ZD-F P9323 flown from Hornchurch in July/August 1940

610 Squadron Mk1A DW-O L1043 flown from Biggin Hill July 1940.

65 'East India' Squadron Mk1A YT-J R6775 flown from Hornchurch July 1940.

GODZONE VF - REAL NEW ZEALAND NZCH/CHRISTCHURCH P3D

Amazing job from Godzone VF! This scenery looks great and the performance is also good. A must have scenery for everyone who loves to fly to New Zealand.
RFSCENERYBUILDING - LIPZ VENICE MARCO POLO AIRPORT FSX P3D

Nice airport but like all RF Scenery they are not in the same league as Orbx quality so l can’t give them a 5/5. They are really good and do deserve a 4/5.
PROFESSIONAL FLIGHT PLANNER X

Been using this several years. Great program with no complaints!
LIONHEART CREATIONS - LIONHEART - DIAMOND STAR DA40 XLS FSX P3D
David
Just got my PPL in a DA-40. Does not look, feel, or sound like the real aircraft. No left turning tendency on takeoff. Doesn’t float on the landings. Horrible G1000 functionality. Just as good as the Abacus A380.

good scenary, but for a newest soda update is needed, hope the author add this for everyone;)
FLYSIMWARE - FALCON 50 FSX P3D
Stefan
A great addon! Nice model with some animations and a detailed interior, excellent hand flying, an brief yet complete documentation, an interactive load manager and the choice between a rather analogue cockpit and the possibility to retrofit it with a more advanced GPS device like the GTN 750 and the REX weather radar (both to be purchased separately-not included!)! -
I love this bird!
JUSTFLIGHT - A318 JETLINER
Lewis
I have owned this for a year or two now, it sits in the LITE area of complexity. Wh-
ich means since you are alone in the cockpit work load is reduced by half, which in a way makes it feel even more realist (more time to focus on the flying). It has a basic FMC which operates alone quite well, you can load saved flight plans into, also it will plan major routes automatically and also has a direct to function. Overall it is a slimmed down FMC which works well without the need for external plugins (FSUIPC). Th-
e 3D model is up there with the best, the cockpit is a custom made on, it is a little basic and similar to the Default A321. Flight model is pretty good, it is a little underpowered, and has a tendency to want to "nose down" during decent but over all its really good. (I have actually made a few tweaks to the config to get it to make real world performance and its a dream to fly now). There is NO FLY BY WIRE though, but for this price you cant complain, and performance and framerates are so high that you can forgive this. These days it's the only airliner I fly! And, set up correctly she will fly from Shannon to New York just like the real aircraft can. I found using the sound from the Aerosoft A319 suits this aircraft the best but the default sound is also very good. Overal-
l a lovely aircraft and great fun to fly.

One of the Best VABB scenery! I really loved it! Only if you add some buildings and the fire depot of the airport it will be a great airport!
FLIGHT SIMULATOR INNOVATIVE ADDONS - FLIGHT SIMULATOR FIRST OFFICER TFDI 717 EDITION FSX P3D
Joe
Outstanding! Great addition and also great value per dollar. This first officer is well conceived and just as well executed. It isn't frequent to encounter a skilled programmer who also has a good sense of human interfaces and gui. After my experiences with other add-on copilots, I hesitated on this for several weeks. I shouldn't have. It is just what I wanted in this type of add-on. With this I'm learning a lot of the little things I haven't been doing. I can to a sense learn by example, beginning with letting the first officer do almost everything, then taking more onto myself. I've been an amateur flight simmer for 30 years and can complete a flight with any aircraft. But, I've always known I was taking advantage of the limitations of the sim and cutting many corners. This first officer is teaching me new things and adding a lot to my enjoyment of the flights with him. Thank you, Matthew King! Great Job!
