Barcelona–El Prat Airport (IATA: BCN, ICAO: LEBL) (Catalan: Aeroport de Barcelona – el Prat, Spanish: Aeropuerto de Barcelona-El Prat), also known as Barcelona Airport, is an international airport located 12 km (7.5 mi) southwest of the centre of Barcelona, Spain, lying in the municipalities of El Prat de Llobregat, Viladecans, and Sant Boi.
It is the main airport of Catalonia, the second largest in Spain behind Madrid Barajas Airport and one of the busiest in the world. In 2015 Barcelona Airport handled a record 39.7 million passengers, up 5.7% from 2014. It is a main base for the main Spanish airlines like Vueling and a hub for Iberia or Air Europa, as well as the Irish low-cost giant Ryanair and the Irish carrier Norwegian Air International. The airport mainly serves domestic European destinations, also having flights to North America (United States of America and Canada), South America (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Peru), Middle East (Egypt, Israel, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar), Asia (China, Singapore and South Korea), and Africa (Senegal, Gambia, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Ghana and Cape Verde).
The Barcelona–Madrid air shuttle service, known as the "Puente Aereo" (in Spanish), or "Pont Aeri" (in Catalan) literally "Air Bridge", was the world's busiest route until 2008, with the highest number of flight operations (971 per week) in 2007. The schedule has been reduced since February 2008, when a Madrid–Barcelona high-speed rail line was opened, covering the distance in 2 hours 30 minutes, and quickly became popular.

The scenery looks good and generally has a correct layout with all the taxiways, gates, and terminals. The one big let down is that most gates are unusable as they don't have SODE gates. The jetways won't move and GSX won't make them move. Quite disappointing.
Quite disappointed with this rendition of Barcelona. Texturing is very poor and lacks any detail. SODE is only implemented on a handful of gates. Other than that it is alright at its best, nothing impressive.
Number of small disappointments with this scenery:
1-GSX is badly integrated (pushbacks from terminal 1 crash you into traffic parked at nearby gates, all gates are not compatible with SODE)
2-Very very few gates available for Heavies, despite numerous 777 flights arriving at terminal 2 in real life (American airlines, Emirates etc...)
3-At night, the airport glows in the dark and looks unrealistic. The light passes through clouds.
Then there are definitely some pluses: accurate taxiways, terminal looks nice, SODE jetways are a plus, runway lights look nice when you are on final.
Overall absent a discount it is not worth the full price.
I must say I was excited for this scenery when I got it. I've tried it out and it a very smooth running scenery! The optimization is fantastic.
The issue with this scenery for me though, not all gates are available in the AFCAD to spawn at or for GSX to work at.
Sode jetways do not work at a lot of the gates especially those at Terminal 1.
Finally, the dynamic lighting is shotty. Lots of gates are missing the lighting at them.
Overall, great scenery in terms of how smoothly it runs but in terms of details and functionality it's not the best...
It's truly incredible how these guys continuously revisit their older products and keep them up-to-date for such a small fee.
Barcelona is no exception when it comes to exceptional value for money! This fantastic update makes Justsim's LEBL the best Barcelona scenery around, with superb visuals and excellent performance. I am literally stunned and at the same time it's great to know that the money you've spent is money well spent because the frequent updates extend the lifespan of the product, keeping them in top shape for a long time for us to enjoy. Hats off, this is what a scenery should be like these days!
Looking forward to whatever comes next from Andrei and his team. Five stars, easily!
