Airport Overview:
Zhoushan Putuoshan International Airport (IATA: HSN, ICAO: ZSZS) is located on the northern part of Zhujiajian Island in Zhujiajian Subdistrict, Putuo District, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, China. It is approximately 16 kilometers west of the city center and is classified as a 4D-class international regional airport.
The airport runway is 2,500 meters long and 45 meters wide, capable of accommodating Boeing 757-200 aircraft. The apron features 13 Category C parking bays and 1 Category D parking bay; the general aviation apron includes 4 Category B parking bays for aircraft with a wingspan of less than 20 meters. The airfield area also houses 3 general aviation hangars.
· Boeing Completion and Delivery Center:
The Boeing B737 Completion and Delivery Center is located at Zhoushan Putuoshan Airport, serving as the facility for the delivery, interior installation, painting, and maintenance of B737MAX series aircraft in China. You can begin simulating the delivery process of the B737MAX from here.
· General Aviation:
As a popular tourist destination, Zhoushan boasts picturesque island scenery. Aerial sightseeing flights, as a new category of tourism, offer a unique aerial perspective that is irreplaceable and holds immense market potential. Currently, Jinggong General Aviation, based at Putuoshan Airport, operates 3-seat fixed-wing SR20 aircraft for aviation sightseeing services.
“Island Express” is one of the distinctive general aviation service brands jointly launched by Putuoshan Airport and Zhoushan Haifeng General Aviation Service Co., Ltd. In 2020, it launched helicopter routes between Putuoshan Airport and Dongji Miaohu Island and Shengsi Sijiao Island, using China Southern Airlines' S76 helicopters, which can carry 12 passengers. The one-way flight time from Putuoshan Airport to Dongji Miaohu Island is approximately 15 minutes, and to Shengsi Sijiao Island is approximately 35 minutes.
