MapXP lets you move your aircraft anywhere in the world by clicking on a map, in the air or on the ground.
It opens a window inside X-Plane with an OpenStreetMap world map on a 3D globe. Drag to spin the globe and use
the mouse wheel to zoom from the whole Earth down to street level. You can also type an airport code (e.g. LEBL), an airport name or coordinates to jump straight there. Your current aircraft is shown on the map as a yellow arrow.
Over the map, the mouse pointer is an aircraft pointing in the direction you’ll face, with a dashed centre line.
Click to drop the aircraft on the exact spot you want, then press FLY HERE (or double-click) and you’re there.
Start in the air
Choose altitude above ground (AGL) or above sea level (MSL), plus speed and heading.
In AGL mode MapXP checks the terrain where you arrive, so a low start is safe even over mountains.
Start on the ground
Press GND to start parked on your wheels at a gate, on an apron, at a runway threshold or anywhere else.
The aircraft arrives stopped with the parking brake set.
MapXP learns each aircraft’s gear height, so later ground starts are placed straight away.
Line up for departure
Rotate the aircraft by dragging it, with the 1° and 10° heading buttons, or with the [ and ] keys.
When the dashed centre line runs down the middle of the runway, you’re lined up and ready to go.
