Faa'a International Airport , also known as Tahiti International Airport (IATA: PPT, ICAO: NTAA), is the international airport of French Polynesia, located in Tahiti.
The airport serves both domestic and international flights.the airport is built primarily on reclaimed land on the coral reef just offshore. It is situated 5 km (3.1 mi) southwest of Papeete, the capital city
I bought it even if it's not perfect. Much better than the default one or those on Flightsim.to. I hope Mex High Flight will improve it with better textures and 3D modelling...
Not very good. My main complaint is the texturing. It has that default, too clean look. There are no artistic touches. The wood louvres that cover the windows are too orangish in color they need to be darker and a lot of them have paint peeling. The roof textures aren't varied enough, they are missing the Tahitian murals on the sides of the terminal. The terminal is really sterile, doesn't give the right vibe. There should be lots of potted plants and a lot more plant life in general out in the front of the terminal. I don't see the little white globe lights. I don't see the white fencing on the eastside that keeps passengers out of the ops area. No moving people anywhere. The green canopies are too tall, they should be below the angled awning and the windows below them, not in line with the windows. For 18 or even 12 dollars I would expect more details. But the reason I give it 2 stars is the "AFCAD", parking sports for the ATRs are incorrect and do not allow clearance for another ATR to taxi behind or between the spots. Also, traffic does not take off, it only lands. Jets will taxi out the runway but then will just sit there until they disappear. The north side of the airport looks bad, very undetailed, the marina is covered by water, there was no thought given to the north side of the airport. I'd give it 3 stars if the "AFCAD" was fixed and some more details were added, some retexturing was done. This is a 9 dollar airport at best.
Not super happy too. There are elevation errors in the small taxiway on one side and on gates 1 and 2. Aircraft with the nosewheel parked higher than the rest of the aircraft. If you can taxi the aircraft up that "hill".
Way better scenery than the default building in MSFS. Someones comment said they'd rather have the default than this...this Scenery is bad ass! Could use improvements, but so happy with it! =)
This scenery has a flightsim.to quality. For a simple scenery, it has frame hit and i don't what causing it. Airport is simple and not a lot of details to get close to the actual NTAA airport. I hope the developer can look at this review and do something about it. NTAA should get a better scenery than this for a payware product.
I am quite critical of this rendition, esp considering the price point. While the building shapes are well done, the texture and finish on many of the buildings rival FSX, by no means something befitting MSFS. The hangers on the north side of the runways (and a lot of other buildings) almost look like they were pulled from an old freeware library. The dev did appear to work to capture most of the unique shapes, but not much else. Definitely not something acceptable at this price point that sees top caliber airports available from other developers.
Except for one walk in area on the main terminal that is minimal there are no interiors, and any glass is again, freeware quality. The blending to base scenery is ok, some areas (north of runway) appear to not have been given much thought.
There are several open hangers, those interiors in many cases have distorted textures on the inside further detracting immersion.
This scenery might be worth it at about half current ask, but nothing more than that. And even at that it still appears to not fit what is the best of MSFS. I only hope this release doesn't deter a quality developer from considering NTAA.
