TOWERS MADE FOR THIS REGION

The pylons are not generic models. They are custom made for Nepal and Bhutan, modelled on the real towers of the region: - Slim double-circuit lattice towers with three arms a side, as on the Kathmandu and Terai lines

- Wide crossbeam towers on the largest lines

- Concrete poles on the local lines

- Weathered, dusty steel, as the towers really look after years of monsoon and sun

BUILT FOR THE MOUNTAINS

- Fitted to the simulator's own terrain: on steep slopes, across valleys and over ridges

- Wires meet the insulators, span after span, with natural sag on long and steep spans

- Towers stand taller where the ground rises between them, so wires stay clear of the hills

- Cleared corridors through the forest, as the real lines have

- Substations with gantries, equipment, buildings set into the slopes, and night lighting

- The simulator's own generic pylons are replaced, not doubled

- Each country ends cleanly at its border
