Nashville International Airport (IATA: BNA, ICAO: KBNA) is a public/military airport in the southeastern section of Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Established in 1937, its original name was Berry Field, from which its ICAO and IATA identifiers are derived. The current terminal was built in 1987, and the airport took its current name in 1988. Nashville International Airport has four runways and covers 4,555 acres (1,843 ha) of land.
The airport is served by 30 airlines, 26 passenger and 4 cargo-only ones (and of which 7 are foreign airlines) and has 585 daily arriving and departing flights with nonstop flights to 101 airports in North America and Europe. Joint Base Berry Field, formerly Berry Field Air National Guard Base is located at Nashville International Airport. The base is home to the 118 and the 1/230th Air Cavalry Squadron Tennessee Army National Guard.
Now alvailable for MSFS, this complete redesign of the default scenery seeks to improve the in and out flying experience for this airport, using the latest KBNA ground charts!!!
Scenery features:
Fully accurate taxiway paths acording to the latest KBNA charts.
True to life aprons and parkings.
More than 20 custom taxiway markings and signs.
Upgrated runways and runways approach lights.
Improved ground materials and textures.
Accurate commercial gates aviation parking positioning, numeration and services.
This is not horrible. It is actually tough to do Nashville because our airport is going through a big change right now . This is way better than the default one MSFS provided.
The sim needs a good Nashville and there a now two sceneries for Nashville and both are terrible with this being the worst of the 2, i now have 2 pachilabs sceneries and i will never touch there stuff again, this and KDAL as 2 of the worst sceneries i own and i had to buy the other KDAL scenery to replace this one as it made me not want to fly there, thanks for wasting my money
Pachilabs did a good job with taxiways and gates. Terraforming is an overall improvement. Donelson Pike is improved and the taxi bridges are much better than the Asobo version. If only Pachilbas had taken Donelson Pike a step closer to actual real-life at the taxi bridges by making certain the terraforming was completed under the taxi bridges. I understand it may be easier said than done.
Another creator built KBNA for P3D4 and from the images, it appears more care was taken with the Donelson pike taxi overpasses. I do a user of P3D4 so I can only see the images. The images may be skewed and the other creator may have also only partially fixed Donelson Pike.
The underpass on Murfreesboro Pike is okay but not spectacular.
The current airport construction is covered as best I can tell
Here is where I lose interest in the mod. It appears the stock Asobo terminals are used instead of real-life terminals. Also, the stock Asobo parking garages are still there. That kills the immersion for me. However, I will be modeling the KBNA terminals and parking garages myself once I know what the finished terminals will look like after construction.
Perhaps I am being hard on Pachilabs with my review. This is my home airport and I have waited over two years for a mod. It is important to me. In addition, I know I can buy a Flytampa airport mod for the same price and it will be true to life with extreme detail taken.
The bottom line; this mod is a big improvement over the Asobo airport. But it could have been so much better. I am grateful that Pachilabs managed the taxiways and gates. They are a mess in the Asobo version and that takes care of the hard work and makes it easier for me to recreate the terminals and parking garages as they appear in reality.
