FS Global Ultimate – Next Generation is a software, which delivers mesh scenery (= 3D wireframe) for the whole globe. It is the successor of FS Global Ultimate (3 DVD box sets) and available as download for the first time! It comes with many fixes, a bunch of new higher resolution areas and overall a completely new dataset from 2017.

Immerse into professional simulation. Experience mountains as they are in reality, cliffy and sharp-edged. Not soft and round, as they normally tend to be in simulators. About 80 GB of 3D-data get more than 500 times more detail into your Flight Simulator than default world! Hundreds of hours of manual editing have removed errors and adapted source data to match each other.

The resolution of the FS Global – Next Generation mesh is up to 1m, where data permits and resolution makes sense. This means, the points of the wire frame are 1m apart. For technical geeks: THE LOD varies from LOD 8 to LOD 15. LOD 8 for "flat" areas (you don't need higher LODs there, since flat is flat, whatever LOD you will render it in) and more to LOD 14 for mountainous areas (data availability permitting). Some showcases have been rendered in LOD15.

FS Global Ultimate – Next Generation can at any time be used as a standalone mesh add-on as well.

I bought this product to enhance Dovetail's Flight Sim World. It certainly does that making the mountains higher and better defined with the valleys and canyons having far more depth. Best of all I am getting an increase of 10-15fps more! What more could I ask for? FSW is now a respectable flight sim with thius product installed. This product also enhances FSX and P3Dv4. It certainly has the Wow factor. The best 80 euros that I have ever spent on my flight sims at Sim Market, buy it and enjoy. It is a massive download of 72gbs. Read the installation instructions included in the download and only use Winrar or Winzip to unzip the main install zip file. The developers also tell you not to use w10's Edge or Internet Explorer browsers to download the files because they can cause problems or corrupt the files. I used Vivaldi and it worked perfectly for me.

an amazing change to the landscape, mostly hugely enjoyable by bush pilots, yet even by high flying guys too quite an impact to fps if you set the mesh resolution high as suggested, yet if installed it can't be removed, such is the difference appreciated, rather it's the CPU that should be upgraded

I can only repeat what I said out loud when first seeing Innsbruck through my VR headset after installing FS Global Ultimate...it was a simple 'WOW', because it really does what it says, it has enlivened P3dv4 to another level. Already having Pilot's latest Real Weather (thanks to some super customer support from Stefan), my flight sim world has become more accurate and so immersive. So easy to install, the best add-on you can buy right now, valleys open up, mountains soar high into the sky and cliffs, well, hang....but it's the in-between areas that are stunning. Instead of flat areas between peaks, there are now interesting higher spots, changing scenery from 2D to truly 3D. Well worth the money and a great product.... I'd recommend it without hesitation.....
