Given the string of five star reviews, I was hoping this would be the the kind of affordable classic that Ant's Airplanes produces, but far from it. To give it it's due, the exterior is beautiful, and if you're looking for a fine model of the 50's trainer look no further. But the cockpit is a rather low-poly, flat, blandly textured affair reminiscent of Flysimware models. Which would be fine if the systems were of Flysimware standard but these are only slightly modified default systems and come with all the problems associated with freeware models: ludicrously short battery life, beacon light bleeding through the fuselage into the cockpit to name but two. The flight model's not bad, except for bizarre behavior in the flare: float it, or tailstrike it, or smash it down on the runway, but you sure can't land this thing properly. Still, despite my misgivings I spent an enjoyable few hours throwing the Provost around UK skies and don't resent my 18 euros. If this dev can raise his game he'll be someone to watch.

I bought this plane from another site but I hope Simmarket accept this review because this masterpiece deserves more attention than it seems to be getting. A2A quality at half the price. I have to agree with a previous reviewer about the poor performance of this aiport in FSX - even in the latest version, with FT Configurator options set to minimum. The frame rates are acceptable, but it is very texture heavy, and the textures are slow to load: on final approach, runway textures are still popping up in the last few moments of the approach, which spoils one's enjoyment of the landing. I have only a modest machine, but I have no such problems with Fly Tampa's Athens and Vienna. That said, it is a beautiful and accurate rendition of the airport. The two different types of animated jetway are especially impressive. Just use it for departures not arrivals.

I wouldn't have thought it possible for Anthony Lynch to equal his Trojan T28 masterpiece, but he very nearly does it with with this wonderful Winjeel. Beautifully modelled inside and out, with real system depth and full of innovative features, especially the custom sound system which really brings the engine alive - and all of this at high and fluid frame rates. But don't take my word for it - try the demo. What's more it's very easy on the pocket, with excellent customer service. My advice is, buy this and the Trojan now before Mr Lynch comes to his senses and starts charging what they're actually worth!
