ERNIE ALSTON - INTEGRATED SIMAVIONICS GROUP 1 (ISG1)
"Features include loading stored flight plans, holding patterns, VNAV, SID's and STAR's." I have tested this thoroughly. This product does NOT have working VNAV. Note that the GNSXLS does not let you edit altitudes after loading a flight plan. So they need to be in the flight plan file. I say this because it is reliant on having altitudes-per-waypoint in the flight plan, and only FS Build (by the same developer, last working over ten years ago) can apparently generate a compatible flight plan. I say apparently because I even got hold of FS Build (designed to work with FS 2004) and can't see ISG flight plan in the export options. Without altitudes per waypoint in the flight plan, VNAV makes the aircraft climb (albeit porpoisely) to TOC and then, because it doesnt know when descent should start, immediately begins a very long descent from TOC to the last waypoint. It is completely misleading that VNAV is listed as a function of this software. IF VNAV was not listed, I would give it 4/5.
