Scenery looks really nice. Unfortunately something is not optimized when it comes to night time effects, because FPS absolutely plummet at night. The jetways also appear to be duplicated. Another thing I didn't like about it is that the installation is manual, and the directions for installing to someplace OTHER than the C drive documents folder isn't provided.
Even if you have all the features turned off you will run out of VRAM unless maybe you have an extremely high end GPU.
This is advertised as a P3Dv4/v5 product, but it in v5 there are default buildings showing though, and even the installer is labeled for "FSX". So I have to apply my own v5 fixes with ADE.
Top notch quality as usual from FSDG. Docking one star because most of the gates don't actually seem to work properly with the SODE jetways, unless you really work to position the aircraft a certain way.
Solid scenery, includes a good chunk of the surrounding area as well. No big issues that I have noticed. Only a light general complaint: I wish their method of implementing SODE didn't necessitate going to their website and manually getting their configurator and so on. I wish that was more inclusive in the product installs.
It's a decent looking scenery, and they include a small file replacement fix to make it v5 compatible. My only complaint is that SODE jetways don't work properly with GSX. I have to manually go into the SODE menu to connect the jetways. I hope the dev fixes this; I can't imagine it's too hard.
Decent scenery, about what I expected from Sierrasim. My only big complaint is that the SODE config seems to be poorly done. The jetways will never connect to the PMDG 777 (the only aircraft I've tested into the airport thus far) no matter where I'm positioned in relation to the jetways.
I have to echo some previous reviews. The glideslope for 34L seems completely off, and the overall the scenery looks pretty bland at night, and the surrounding photo base doesn't blend well at all. I'm sure DD will address this with patches, but until then, I can't give this more than 3 stars. Definitely seems rushed.
It's a fantastic looking airport, but pretty hard on performance. It's a uniquely stuttery mess for me. The price is way too inflated for a relatively minor regional airport. Additionally, to download the "configurator" you have to go register on their website. This configurator doesn't actually allow you to turn off performance-heavy features - all it allows you to do is turn off static aircraft. For such a performance-heavy airport, I was very disappointed to find no ability to disable 3D grass, etc. Like I said, it does look great and comes with all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a modern airport addon, but the downsides are price and performance.
An absolute must-have. I am amazed that they were able to pull off such great detail with no noticeable FPS hit (considering how heavy this area traditionally is on framerates, even in default scenery). Probably one of my favorites to fly to/from in the sim now. Great job T2G!
