This is my local airport for commercial travel and Sierrasim has done a great job with KMDT in my opinion. From the accurately detailed signs and roads to the taxiways and FBOs at the airport. I've waited a long time thinking no developer would create this airport and I can only hope Sierrasim will consider creating a version for P3D 5+. I recommend this addon if you are considering KMDT.
I took a chance with this product since I previously have not purchased anything from Magsoft. I won't purchase any of their other products. This airport is slightly one step above default scenery. The pictures in the ad show complete jetways with clear glass much like GSX, however, after installing all of the required files the jetways are missing parts and are static. There are no instructions on how to disable the static jetways so that GSX does not overlap. All in all, I'm rather disappointed especially considering the cost.
I did not know about TROPICALSIM until I received an email regarding the sale at Sim Market. Due to the cost I thought it would be worth taking a chance and I'm glad I did. The installer worked fine except you don't get installation instructions until after the install which is when the PDF file pops up explaining the process. I accidently missed the auto config button for the scenery when I first installed the addon. Make sure you allow the installer to automatically make the scenery.cfg entries and you should be good to go. The graphics for TIST look awesome with no noticeable frame rate impact. Additionally, the scenery loads rather fast for an addon which is not the case from other developers. I'm extremely pleased that I know have really nice scenery for St. Thomas as I frequent the airport quite a bit . . . especially in winter. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants great scenery for a great airport!
