AEROSOFT - BRONCO X

AEROSOFT - BRONCO X

First impressions are very good. Great modelling, texturing and sound. Complex system and very 'differnt' flight model. The handling need some getting used to (the rolling characteristics for example) but according to the FAQ this is very realistic. It's just not something you're used to as a sim flyer. A few minor issues have to be noted though. Framerate is generally very very good (FSX default plane like) but the exterior shows some slowdowns when the engines are not running. When the run, all is buttery smooth. Parked not so much. Maybe a bug? And the ATC doesn't respond problerly and doesn't call the correct type. Overall a very nicely done addon. A diamond in the rough so to speak. A patch and a few more models (which are announced) will make it a masterpiece. It's a great plane already with a wonderful view from the VC.

A2A SIMULATIONS - CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP B377 FSX

A2A SIMULATIONS - CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP B377 FSX

A2A has outdone themselfes with the 377. This has to be one of the best addons for FSX money can buy. It's very detailed and authentic while still remaining relatively fps friendly. If you're into classic propliners the 377 is a must have for sure. And if you're not into them she at least deserves a very close look. You will have a hard time flying anything else after her.

FLYTAMPA - KAITAK FS2004 FSX P3D

FLYTAMPA - KAITAK FS2004 FSX P3D

Flytampa has outdone themselfes with this masterpiece ... again. While individual parts have been done better in other addons (ground textures in the city expecially or airport details like custom moving jetways etc) the sumn of all parts make this a gem. The city is so packed with houses you finally get the feeling of a real city and the night lighting is just wonderful. And the fps hit it takes it not that big at all. Approaching Kai Tak performs better than bigger default FSX airports. A must buy in my eyes.

FLYTAMPA - STMAARTEN COMPLETE FS2004 FSX P3D

FLYTAMPA - STMAARTEN COMPLETE FS2004 FSX P3D

This is just a wonderful scenery. It is fps-friendly, detailed and full of life with boats and cars moving around and birds flying away when you're on final. It's not as static and lifeless as most sceneries these days and this makes it something special. And it offers some very challenging approaches too, St. Barth and Saba are not for the usual airliner pilot. Another masterpiece from FlyTampa and a must buy for FSX too!!!

AEROSOFT - DIGITAL AVIATION DO-27 X (DOWNLOAD)

AEROSOFT - DIGITAL AVIATION DO-27 X (DOWNLOAD)

I bought the Do-27 a looong while ago for FSX and it never really worked. With SP2 even less so because the DO-27 is no true FSX addon but a dirty FS9 port. It offers a challenge like nothing else because you can actually brake here and you have to really fly by the book. The immersion factor is great. Also there is so much detail everywhere and great texture work. BUT, and that is a HUGE BUT, it's hardly usable in FSX. The framerate is a joke and somewhere below a PMDG 747X, there are truckloads of bugs and problems like flickering VC textures here and there and unreadable tooltips. Digital Aviation promised a patch in october 07 but never delivered. Their support for Do-27 degenerated from poor to nonexistant. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST UNTIL THE FIX THE DO-27 TO WORK PROPERLY IN FSX!!!
